It took me a moment to recover from the close contact. When I turned to Aurora to get my tablet from the plate, she pulled it back away from me. Withdrawing it from my reach completely. Her mouth was wide open, and she had mixture of horror and shock on her face.
“Do you want to explain that?”
“What?” I tried to act dumb, but I knew it wouldn’t work. She already knew, I was just delaying the inevitable.
“Don’t be acting coy, what’s going on between you and my brother?”
“Nothing.” Technically it was true, if not entirely.
“No, I saw that, that was definitely something.”
“We were together for a while before he came here.”
“How long?”
“About four weeks maximum. It was nothing, he moved on.”
“Neither of you have moved on. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.”
