What the heck! I practically drag Una by the hands over to the water fountain, running them under the water washing away the blood. We both just stare at her hands in shock or amazement I’m not sure which is more fitting.
We just stare at each other in silence the ticking of the clock on the wall the only sound. How can this be possible? Am I loosing my mind? Yet Una seems as perplexed, it is not just me.
Finally Una finds her voice “Cormac sit down with me I need to tell you something, I had thought it crazy, but now ..” she looks stunned still as I follow her over to a weights bench and we sit facing each other, I’m painfully aware of the sparks where our legs touch but this is not the time.
