Chapter 23: Deadly Confrontations

I was excited to be going with Roman to Barron's birthday party, I was shocked that he was invited but he told me, "I have a brief meeting that should take about fifteen minutes tops." I asked to see Sapphire and although he fought me on it, he allowed me to see her this one time and I couldn't wait. We were in the limo and I was looking at the lights and the billboards celebrating their King's birthday today, the people were all out celebrating as you could see it being televised. Roman said, "Don't people have private moments anymore?" I held Roman's hand smiling and he squeezed it back in anticipation, when we reached the venue, our driver opened the limo, and we walked down the Red Carpet heading inside. We took a few pictures and Roman shared light jokes, I could feel the bears were not happy with us around, which sent a chill up my body not knowing what to expect being here.

Roman had the whiskey in his hand and as soon as we walked in, the birthday song was finishing up and I smiled until Roman interrupted the special moment between Barron and his future Queen. Roman is so dramatic and a party downer, everyone was looking at us and I could feel all the auras in the room, I wasn't scared, just worried. Roman was being escorted to a room after Barron asked him to join him, I was about to follow when Larkina said, "Follow me," I went into a room with a witch and was worried that this was a setup. Lark looked at me and said, "Don't worry, Your Majesty, I won't hurt you," a portal was opened, I felt something pulling me to go back to the party and I couldn't figure out why, but I needed to see, Sapphire. I knew the Valmores were there, and I briefly saw them, I know my husband has been trying to meet them, and maybe, he will now, but I felt closer to Ares Valmore, which was weird.

However, I was on a mission tonight, and meeting my granddaughter was more important, so I followed Larkina to Barron's parent's house. They were expecting me and Sapphire was up watching TV and turned to me smiling, "Grandma," and ran over to me, I was shocked that they told her about me and I couldn't hold back the tears. She was the closest I could get to Sophie and I wished I was closer to my family but Sophie still hated me and I don't blame her, I was a shitty mother. Sapphire was beautiful, she had her father's brown hair and hazel eyes, and she had her mother's smile and quirkiness, she pulled me to sit next to her and she showed me all the great things like her toy bears and dolls, she was waiting to meet me. She showed me a baby sweater I had made for her and I promised to make a bigger one and she hugged me.

After about twenty minutes, she hugged me and her grandmother took her to bed, I promised to visit her another time, hopefully, I could get away from Roman and his spies for a few hours. Barron's father and I talked for a few minutes, he was nice to me before Larkina said, "The meeting is over, time to go back," he handed me a locket with Sapphire's picture and said, "It's spelled so only you can open it," I thanked him before going back through the portal with Larkina. We headed out to the party and the music was playing, I felt sadness not being able to be with my grandkids and Sophie. I felt this pull again and turned to see Alpha Ares with his girlfriend smiling at each other, it was from a distance and I turned away to see Roman walking towards me and he wasn't happy.

I was comforting my mother when Levi bowed his head and walked out to give us privacy, I could feel her fear and no one had felt that from her in years. I had no idea what my biological father put her through but I was glad that I had my mother's genes and not his, I hated him for what he did to her although, if it had never happened, I wouldn't be here. I rather her have her sanity more than anything else, Barron was my uncle but he is my father regardless, he raised me as his own and he will always be my dad in everyone's eyes, so f**k Roman. I love my father, my mother, and even my crazy Uncle Clarke and they love me, Sapphire ended up being my cousin/niece, and I love that little girl. Thinking about it, Roman f****d up the family tree and I smiled at that but who cares, most Royals are family in some form or fashion that goes back generations.

Levi came back into the room and I knew that my father and Roman were on their way, I will never call him father because we don't reward rapists here. Levi pulled my mother into his arms and I smiled because I had accepted Levi and couldn't wait for their wedding once we got rid of this stupid rule, my mother deserves her happiness and I couldn't wait. Roman walked in smiling and looking at me, he stared into my eyes and I stared back, my bear Haakon remained silent but let him know he was there and we acknowledged him. He stopped smiling after his wolf probably told him I was his son, I didn't hide my scent from him. He sat down as Barron closed the door, my mother was standing behind Levi still upset. Roman looked at me as we sat down when Barron asked, "Why were you hunting my son? I know you don't want a civil war, but seeing who is at my birthday party, you know you won't win."

Roman smiled and said, "No need for that, I just want the truth," my mother yelled, "The truth, you raped me, you son-of-a-b***h, you knew what it does to a bear, and yet you still did it." Leiv said, "Babe, calm down, we don't want a fight on our hands," she roared so loud, that I heard the guards coming so I linked them to stand own. Aidan was already tapped into the conversation with Ty and Drax, Cayden and Emile were on standby with their men and we knew Roman's men were not far away in case a fight broke out. Prince Allan was already in the sky ready to burn this s**t down if it got out of hand, Roman said, "So, it's true, you had my son and never told me about him." Barron said, "So, you admit to violating my sister, a Princess in the court," he stopped speaking immediately, realizing our plan.

Clarke burst through the door screaming, "You, son-of-a-b***h," and grabbed Roman so fast, we barely had time to react. He was about to bite his shoulder when Aidan said, "Stand down, Clarke," in our heads so he could stop. They weren't ready to let the cat out of the bag yet, so Clarke said, "If you go after my nephew or Polly, I will end you and no Alpha Command will stop me." Roman was so scared and shocked that the Alpha Command thing went over his head, he didn't know that crazy Clarke had it in him. Barron looked at him with a smirk and said to Roman, "If you go after my son, the whole of Ravena will know what you did to Princess Polly, and Lily will leave you; got it? If you want it to stay secret, then go on back to your Palace pretending that he is my son just as before, now get out of my territory before I change my mind and hang you in the town square by the balls."

Aidan

I held in my aura along with the others when Roman walked in, Drax was smiling because he was in the lion's den without realizing it. We could so easily end him here but we still have work to do before we do, I want every one of his allies dead, no questions, no forgiveness. I wanted loyal people in my Kingdom, and after everything both Supremes went through, we have very little room for mistakes. I was here with both my girlfriends, but Marva just found her mate at the party and I wished her well, she hugged me and kissed me goodbye before leaving with her mate. He was one of Cayden's allies and he thanked me for letting her go, I did love Marva but I was not stopping anyone from finding happiness with their true mate as I watched my former fated mate walking in with the enemy.

Michelle called me over to the bar so I could focus on the matters at hand, Lily was still as beautiful as ever but the stench of Roman on her drove me crazy. The meeting was in full swing and I listened in with the others so it wouldn't get out of hand, Prince Allan nodded at me before leaving to get into position and Emile nodded that his men were in place and so did Cayden. I kissed Michelle before she stood in front of me dancing to the music and I watched her sexy ass thinking about all the things that I was going to do to her when I got home. Kiev was paying more attention to the meeting but King wanted his c**k to be buried deep inside of Michelle and I agreed with him, Clarke was on edge as his girlfriend was looking inside her phone. There was something off about her but she was not my problem at the moment, Clarke took off and I looked at Ty and Drax waiting for me to give them their command.

I tapped into everyone in the room except Roman and told, Clarke, "Stand down, this was not the time," I saw that Roman was scared shitless. I watched as he walked out heading over to Lily who looked upset, he told her, "We are leaving," she put down her glass as they headed for the door. It still stings seeing her with him but the reality of it was, she started a family with him and moved on. Barron came back out and kissed Larkina, he apologized for the brief meeting and told everyone to enjoy the remainder of the night, and then the party got better as we partied to sun up.
