I’d gotten under Wren’s skin but not in the way I’d hoped for. True annoyance had lined her face regardless of how I turned her body on.
Rather than pester the woman day after day until she relented, I decided to pull back a bit and regroup. Reevaluate my plan to conquer her because she was just…Christ, I couldn’t even figure out how the hell she made me feel.
