Basilio and Marina were both alarmed when Joaquin called out Shanaia’s name. When they looked at where he was looking, they were both horrified to see Shanaia’s body on the huge tree branch in the middle.
Her body was almost covered with the tentacles as they all clamped their sharp teeth on her. She was unconscious and she was looking pale as the tentacles had been drinking her blood and energy.
As Marina looked intently at Shanaia’s body, she could see the shallow breathing.
“What are we going to do? Her breaths have decreased,” Marina asked.
