After hearing from her family the truth, it was too much for Shanaia that she chose to excuse herself and leave, but not before telling them her decision.
“If I asked you to make me forget, then I have a reason. Leave it at that,”
Shanaia drove back to her apartment in Washington for hours and when she got there, she was so tired. She just unpacked really quickly before she took a nap since she was going to work later.
It didn’t take long before she was in deep sleep and fell into a dream state.
Shanaia opened her eyes and she was once again by the stream; the same place where her last dream occurred. She looked around and didn’t see anything but the rock formation in the middle of the stream. She walked closer and then she remembered what her brother said about the statue.
