Or was this what she expected? My mouth was agape with awe, my own hands trembling along with my fellow femme. As David took to his feet, his presence swept the room. One would have thought him seven feet tall if he stood an inch. Yet, though there was incredible power in his hefty shoulders, muscles I’d seen naked, sinewy and robust, he was not a man of any great stature. The event made him what he was. Because of that day, David will forever remain in my mind much larger than he truly is, stronger than he ever could have been, and more terrible than any civilized man would dare reveal.
