"Take your seat, Miss Violet Davies, class is starting," their history professor said, glaring at her from behind his desk. "There are no seats," Violet said, waving her hand around to prove her point. Surely he realized that half these people were not even in the class. "Then I suggest you find one," the teacher said. A few people snickered and Chase outright grinned at her. Violet stood for a moment, frozen with indecision. She could walk out, but what then? She would only be hurting herself, getting behind in class, and needing to catch up in her own time.
