CHAPTER: 36

1062 Words

Violet moved to help him, but then realized that the blue light was there hiding, thus she did not want to get close to that light. Carl Johnson had said that it was energy, the life force of the spell caster. She did not want to mess with it. But it seemed she didn't have much choice. The light flickered back on. It rushed at her faster than she could move. There was no avoiding it. It pressed against her skin, trying to creep into her pores. But then something broke through the light. Far away, beyond the light. The howl of a wolf. If she let the light take her, everyone would die, including herself. Ryan and the other wolves would eat everyone. She could not let that happen. She ignored it, just for a moment. Just long enough to leap into the pond, to the founder professor's statue.
