Chapter 9 - A promise

Zion's Pov

We finally arrive at our school, Rachel Tells us that she can't accompany us to the hall where the program for first years will be held because she needs to find her friends that came from middle school that was attending our school with her.

After Rachel left out the car I was about to review my speech for being the representative of freshmen but Alfred keeps pestering me on how does Rachel end up Riding my car.

"So what did really happen to you two and why did miss bridge was with you earlier?" He said as he casually move from the back seat to the front seat.

"I told you it was totally a coincidence that she needed a ride and don't call her that way" Alfred really loves to give other person nicknames.

"Okay okay I will not ask a question about that anymore, I know that you really hate when a person doesn't believe you so I will believe you okay but"

"but? what do you want to know?"

"Did you make a move already?" Can you see yourself from the mirror Alfred? you look like more exited than I am even if you don't have any experience on dating, at least in this world.

"What move are you talking about we just barely know each other" At least the Rachel in this world.

"Okay okay but you two look good together if I was a different person I would totally think that you two are dating each other" Really?! wait of course we will look good together she's Rachel after all.

"stop the nonsense if you want to think about that kind of stuff, you can stay in the car I want to make preparations for my speech"

I open the door of my car I can't focus in my speech if I'm with Alfred, I need to somehow separate with this freak before he discover everything hehe.

"Okay okay I will stop, lets go to the hall"

Alfred and I was was walking at the corridor when a girl stops in front of us.

"I succeeded in entering this school, I studied hard for you. You didn't forget what you promise me didn't you?" the girl suddenly hugs Alfred while saying something about promises.

Actually I know this girl, she is Angelica one of Alfred girlfriends when we were high school. I didn't know that in this world Angelica and Alfred known each other for a long time, but Alfred said that he has no experience about love so how can this ahhh forget it I didn't want to pry to Alfred's problems. Alfred didn't tell me much about his flings unlike when he was with Bea that change his personality.

This scene actually didn't happen in my previous world, is this because I am now the representative for the first years? and we didn't go the hall earlier?

Alfred's Pov

Zion and I was walking the corridor when a girl suddenly hugged me. I looked at her but I can't remember her name although I remembered something about the promise that she was saying.

"I suddenly remember that I must report to the dean before the program started so Alfred I will have to go now" Zion said with a smile in his face.

"Wait for me Zion I will come with you" I said while waiting for Zion to save me from this situation.

"The dean actually can't wait any longer the program might start so just take your time, see you later" Zion are you really abandoning me?

"Wait Zion I said wai-" Zion didn't even look back while he's running, You will pay for this next time you traitor.

I look at the girl that was hugging me and I still can't remember who she is and I can't really ask her what's her name after she said about promises, how can someone promise but can't even remember the name of the girl that I was promising to.

"Alfred I studied so hard, You didn't forget your promise did you?" What in heavens door did I promise to this girl?

"Of course not ( I don't even know your name though )" How can I exit from this situation? if Zion didn't abandoned me he might think of something, you will pay for this Zion Silver.

"Yehey, come let's go to the hall together" she was dragging me while holding my hand.

Zion's Pov

I reported to the dean and what's left now is to give my speech. If I was making a speech like this when I was in Earth maybe I was nervous and walking around but now I was so relax, maybe because of the fact that giving a speech is became normal to me so much like eating a breakfast because of my achievements in Earth if not weekly at least monthly I was giving a speech.

As the start of the program Alfred finally came and sat beside me.

"You will pay for this" Alfred said while catching his breath.

"Don't be angry I'm just giving you a PRIVACY ( smirk )"

"Privacy my ass, you abandoned me Zion you abandoned me! next time you need help I will not going to help you, after I help you this morning with miss bridge this is what I get?" Alfred seems to be irritated but his behaviour was not towards me but the girl we met earlier.

"I'm sorry okay? the dean really needs me earlier and that was actually your punishment from almost ruining my plan earlier" I said while giving a small laugh.

The time flows with the speeches from the dean and other visitors that comes to our school then my time has come in a flash that Alfred and I didn't even stop arguing like childs in our seats.

"And now giving out a speech to represent all of the freshmen please welcome Freshman Representative with the highest record with a 99% on the entrance exam was correct, Zion Silver"

As I was walking to the stage I can hear some of the students gossiping about me.

"99%? did he cheat?" Some boys gossiping about how did I get that high in the entrance exam.

"He's so smart and handsome"

"I wish I was his girlfriend"

"He's so perfect"

Others girls just look at my appearance but I'm sorry my heart is already taken. I just look at them and smile for appreciation.

I didn't mean to be hear it but somewhere in my mind I was happy to hear it because it's a proof that my strategy is working soon enough Rachel will be falling for me.
