"There’s some good news and bad news that I want to share with you, so which would you prefer to hear first?" The tone in which God spoke those words felt off to me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there’s definitely something unsettling, something fishy floating just beneath the surface of this divine announcement. I let out a big sigh, feeling a weight settle on my chest as I struggled to process what this could mean. "Let me hear the bad news first," I said, "so that when the good news comes, at least the good news will be like a light to soften the blow of the bad."
