Chapter 6: Lennix’s Reaction

(Sasha POV)

I brewed a cup of black coffee for me before looking at the pills in my hand. I quickly bought suppressants for myself before coming back to my apartment with a b*rthcontrol pill. I don’t want any more accidents in my life, so I have to be extra careful from now on. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm myself down. I don’t know why their mere thought was making me anxious.

“Forget about them, Sasha! We have more important matters in our hands that need our attention. They were nothing but a good f*ck and that’s all,” I gave myself a little pep talk before gulping all the pills. I started feeling better after just a few minutes.

“Hello, beauty! Where have you been?” Lennix asked as he entered in the apartment. I was sitting in the lounge. A charming smile appeared on his lips as his eyes fell on me. He helped me a lot in my life and is a good person inside out. I am sure that he would be a wonderful husband, but I don’t know why I can’t fall in love with him. He has all the qualities that I once wanted in my husband but he didn’t attract me like he should. I know he likes me but I am thankful to the Goddess that he didn’t dare to confess his feelings to me otherwise it would make things awkward between us. Besides, I am not sure how I will be able to refuse him.

“Lost in my thoughts, Beauty? When I am right in front of you,” he said with a wink and a smile crept to my lips. He really knows how to make me smile.

“Where were you last night? I was dead worried about you. I wanted to send search parties for you but you timely sent me a message,” He showed his worry before sitting right in front of me.

“I am sorry! I didn't have the time to tell you. My heat started unexpectedly,” I answered, while my eyes were focused on the coffee like it was the most interesting thing in the world. I don’t want to hide anything from him, but I can't share anything about last night with him otherwise, He will not think twice before killing the person who dared to do that with me.

“WHAT??? And, were you there alone in the den of those alphas in this condition?” He asked in disbelief as he doubted my sanity for a moment.

“Yeah! I locked myself inside a room but I thanked the Goddess that she sent someone there to help me. I didn't have to go out of my room, even for food. That person provided me with everything, including food, clothes, and everything necessary. I didn't even ask her name," I said but mixed a little lie in it. I know he will not be able to digest the fact that I asked for the help of three strangers.

“Now I am feeling alright. What about you?” He shrugged his shoulders in response.

“Busy and hectic as always, but I like these types of days,” he answered and I nodded.

“Next time, you can’t go anywhere like this. You will take your suppressants with you everywhere and you will inform me if anything like this happens in the future,” I nodded like an obedient student because he was looking really worried about me.

"Don't worry, Nix! I will not let that happen. I know now we can't afford to make a single mistake, so I will not make one. But, tell me what your new updates are for our new project. I hope we can start working on our plan by the end of this month," I asked, and he started explaining each and every thing, including the Crystal Heaven program.

"Wow! You are so impressive, Nix! You can open your own company with this much intelligence and effort, so why don't you want to even think about it?" She asked in a curious voice.

Lennix smiled when she asked her question. He looked towards the girl who was still oblivious of his feelings for her. She was so alert, smart, and sharp, but in this aspect, she was nothing but a backbencher.

"No!!! I am not interested in starting a business and earning money for others when I can have more salary for just a single task or I can earn more money by investing it in some good companies," He winked at her and Sasha smiled.

"You are really a smart and sharp-minded person. Your mate will be so lucky "he said, and a forceful smile appeared on his face.

"Well! We will see about it in the future but for now, sign these files," He put three files in front of me and I started reading them one by one.
