Chapter 3

Tylor POV

As my eighteenth birthday is nearing my wolf "Jace" is getting restless. I know it must be because we are going to take over the position of alpha on that day. The birthday will be celebrated on our pack and our ally partners and members will be also invited as my dad hopes that I could find my mate on the same day.

But why should I need a mate ...?? Mate makes an alpha weak...they have so much influence with alpha that the enemies will use them to get the alpha down. I have heard the story of the destruction of a strong pack because the rogues used Alpha's mate as a pawn. And they are all dead now... Alpha sacrificed his pack for his mate, and eventually, both of them were killed too. So I don't wish to find my mate, but Jace is the exact opposite. He curses me when I think like that from the back of my mind.

Either my mate should be Esther or so strong as her, or I will choose the strongest pack warrior Esther as my mate. I know she wishes to be the Luna of the pack. That is the only reason she is still by my side. I don't repeat girls once I dated or sleep with them. But Esther, she can be a perfect Luna. She is strong, good in bed and our pups will be strong enough. And most importantly, she will be my chosen mate, so if the enemies try to use he against me, I will not be that heartbroken or affected I think.

"idiot...stop this bull shit...we are going to find our mate...that is for sure..." Jace roared in my mind.

"Jace, you must understand that if she is a no rank werewolf I am never going to accept her...I can't risk the future of my pack... We are the strongest in the world, but still, our enemies are waiting for a chance to drag us down... I can't take any risk in this matter..."

"Strong or not, our mate will be special.." He claimed.

"you wish...but there won't be any change in my decision...if she is a nobody I am going to reject her right away..." I retorted to him.

"f**k you, Tylor...if you reject her right away...you will never hear me again..." and Jace cut the connection from me.

"Jace...you can't be serious..." no reply.

"Jace..." still no response. I can't believe he did that. This is the first time he is protesting this much to me. He must be so serious. I should handle the situation more maturely. I hope Esther is my mate. She is a bit clingy, and selfish type. But nothing I cant handle...

After a few days, I felt Jace again in college when that blue-eyed girl bumped into me. My heartbeat raised as I felt Jace getting excited. Hm...when I looked at her...her eyes...the blue orbits...were so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off...she ran away after saying sorry to me...I could sense her...She is a mere human...I don't even date humans...they are so weak... That is why we all hide our identities to not to scare them away.

When I went to the class those blue eyes were also there...the physics was so boring, but my eyes got locked with the amazing curves sitting a few seats ahead of us...She got a voluptuous hot body too...but why did I never notice this before...maybe because she was human. They as if she felt my glare, she looked back and I diverted my glance even before getting caught. Uff.

After the class, when we were leaving I could not help, but take a glance at her. I know the girl is Jackson's girlfriend. But how come the i***t got such a gorgeous girl...I was lost in thoughts, but I never realised Esther was watching me. I never promised anything to Esther, but she knows she had a chance to become the Luna. That is the reason she is keeping an eye on me. She knows I will not allow her to intervene in my things before she gets a place in my life. So she keeps silent

Tomorrow is the game. Our team is fit as ever. Even if we tried to keep the energy lower to the maximum, as the interest kicks in we all play with enjoyment. I heard the Jax saying doubt that we use drugs to keep the energy till the last minute of the game. Yes, we do have the super hearing capacity. And I heard the others talks too...hm...

That day I often thought about that girl and her amazing blue eyes. Maybe I should date her once, then these thoughts will go away..." don't be stupid Ty, she got a boyfriend.." Jace said.

"Hm...I know... Let me call Esther and have some fun to forget the distraction..."

Jace was out without any reply. Hmm...he is getting so edgy these days... I called Esther and she was glad to me come.

After Esther's seductive treatment I felt better and slept. Tomorrow is the final match. So I slept early.

The next day when we were on the football ground, unknowingly my eyes were searching for the blue-eyed girl...but she was nowhere to be seen. Then the teacher asked us to take a test as someone had complained against us as we had used drugs. I know it must be Jax. But we have nothing to fear. The doctor is a werewolf too. So I was busy there for testing, I felt my heartbeat racing as if someone was looking at me with so many emotions. I searched around and found the blue-eyed girl...looking at me. I could not withdraw my eyes as well from her, but I was interrupted by the whistle sound and I get back to the field.

The game was nice that we did not allow Jax's team even to touch the ball properly... We scored two goals and in the second round, we lowered our energy as we don't want anyone to doubt us. So they scored a goal, and I saw his team along with those blue eyes also cheering for him. Jace was pissed for some unknown reasons and he triggered me to play hard and score two more goals. YES...we won the game...

After winning we went to the changing room. They wanted to celebrate the victory, but I told them that we can celebrate this also on tomorrow's birthday. And they agreed. I took a shower and wanted a run as Jace is feeling restless. I took spare clothes in my arms and ran towards the forest. In the mid-air, I shifted myself into Jace and ran and ran...In the cold weather, he was pacing fast... I was enjoying it too. Then I felt him slowing down and he ran back to where I started running. I shifted back to human form and wore the spare clothes. Jace was still restless. I don't know what is wrong with him. He is like this for the past few days...Maybe the alpha title day and finding the mate thing making a toll on him.

I was walking randomly on the campus, then I heard a sobbing sound faintly in distance. I walk towards the tree on the campus. Most of the people were already left, one a few were here and there. When I saw who it was my heart crunched. It was her...The blue-eyed girl...

I don't know what to do first. I wanted to walk away at the same time, go close and console her... So finally I went there and sit near her.

"Hey... what's wrong..." I tried my maximum to make my sound calming.

Then she looked up with reddened eyes and when she spotted me, she looked away.

"I am Tylor, I don't know what happened to you, but it is getting dark and you're not safe here..."

"She stopped sobbing and cleared her face with a bottle of water. Then she looked at me," I am Sasha. Can you do a favour for me? I did not check the time, the public transport to my place is not available at this time. Can you..." she looked at me with hope. Sasha...what a beautiful name...

"I will drop you..." I don't know, but it was Jace acting like a puppy in front of her. She nodded in response and then we headed towards my bike. Then she looked at me and my bike.

"This is my vehicle. " I said as if it was not obvious. She nodded and hop in with me. I could feel she is trying her maximum to avoid the body touching, but sometimes when her hands touch my back, I feel like fireworks were erupting on me... What is happening with me?

She gave me the instructions and I finally dropped her there. Her home was just outside of my territory...

"Thank You Tylor for dropping me home safely also for not pressuring me to tell you the reason behind my situation..." Even if she tries her best to be confident, the sadness was very much visible on her face.

I nodded at her. And then started my bike and head back to my pack. After reaching the pack I saw Esther as she was waiting got me.

When she saw me she came and hugged me. Then she looked at my face with confused eyes."You were with a human...!!" (yes she got that extreme sense of smell...she is best when it comes to finding a prey

"Do I need to answer you... Why you were waiting for me here..."

"Oh really... What is that change in your tone...have you found your mate or do you have any interesting b***h in your mind..." She sometimes clings to me like a parasite and irritates me pretty much.

"Shut up Esther... I am already tired of games and racing over the woods. I also helped a human in a critical situation. That is it...okay... I need some peace... Bye.."

I went ahead to my room. I was about to take bath, then I felt her smell on my shirt... It was so calming smell...Hm...what am I thinking... tomorrow is the ceremony ...no more distractions...

I soon took a shower and headed towards to meet my father as his mind linked me for a meeting.
