Long awaited mate my ass

DAMIEN’S POV

“Come on man let’s just go in and get the beers it will be fun” said Haines for the millionth time.

He had successfully convinced me to go to the liquor shop with him so that we could restock the alcohol for the pack house. We had been to almost every other liquor store in town but they were all close, but just as I was about to make a U-turn and go back to the house the bastard remembered that there was another one that opened 24hrs downtown. How Haines knows these places is just above me and now we were in the parking lot and I refused to go in there and carry plastic bag like a mere commoner. I was the Alpha for crying out loud and not just any alpha but the most feared one in all of America. And here I was being reduced to an errand boy my baby brother who refused to let Omegas do their jobs and was way too lenient if you ask me.

After begging and annoying me because I prided myself in never allowing my family to beg, I gave in and we walked toward the store slowly. When he opened the door I was instantly hit with the sweet scent of cherry bubble gum and lavenders, I allowed my nose to lead me to where the sweet smell was until I located the most beautiful young lady standing by the beer section, she had her back to me but I could see her reflection on the glass door. she was focused on her phone and I took the time to admire her curves and her milky skin from behind she looked so good and I was sure she looked just as good from the front she was wearing a leather jacket and denim s,horts that left too much to the imagination. her hair was brown and was tied into a loose messy bun, I slowly licked my lips and I felt my wolf come to the surface.

“mate” he whispered and I knew I had finally found my mate. She quickly lifted her head as if she felt that I was staring at her and our eyes made contact through the fridge glass door. I got lost into those forest green eyes but immediately snapped out of it when I heard a low growl from behind me and I instantly knew she was with another wolf. my jealousy went from zero to a hundred and my wolf screamed “MATE” making my head pound for a bit and I lost my concentration as I buried my head in my hands and when I raised my head they were both gone. My mate had run away from me. I went back to join Haines who was unbothered as he continued looking through the different brands of alcohol.

“I found her” I barked

“Found who” he asked distracted

“My mate you i***t” I snapped and he almost dropped the bottle of alcohol in his hands.

He knew how hard I had searched for her and how I had attended all mating balls in and out of our area in hopes of finding her not because I needed her or wanted her of course but because my wolf was weak without her and the pack was getting restless without a Luna.

“Well then where is she?” he asked seemingly confused

"The b***h ran away with another wolf” I snapped through my teeth

“Damien we don’t call our mates bitches” he said rolling his eyes annoying me further

“Find her” I growled startling him as I stomped off leaving him to pay for the goods and carry the plastic bags on his own. When he got to the car I could see he had more to say so I shut him off and gave him a death glare. We drove silently back to the pack house and when we got there I immediately went to my office in frustration, I had to find her.

Scarlet’s POV

After that weird encounter with the weird but handsome stranger at the liquor store I couldn’t wait to find out why Noah pulled me so hard and why we left in such a hurry

“what the f**k was that, don’t tell me that’s somebody you owe money” I asked Noah as he locked the door and checking to make sure they were locked he was acting very scared and paranoid and this behavior wasn’t like Noah.

“Don’t you know who the f**k that was?” he asked me as if we had just met the devil himself and by the look on his face I could swear we just did.

“No, who the f**k was that?” I asked rolling my eyes and lazily throwing myself on the couch and pulling a cigarette to smoke I wasn’t a regular smoker but I smoked when I drank, it made alcohol taste better.

“That was Alpha Damien” he whispered the name as if he was speaking of some person who was known to be a superstition until now I rolled my eyes again.

“Ok he’s an Alpha so?” I asked again

“ don’t you know him the alpha of the most feared pack in New Orleans Scar this is a guy you want to run away from any time you see him” he declared I still didn’t get what the big deal was about

“Babe relax it’s not like we broke into his house or anything” I said but wondered why he looked at me the way he did.

“Did you see the way he eye balled me?” I asked him and he seemed to be miles away as if realizing something that he had feared.

“Earth to Noah” I snapped my fingers and reached for a beer “will you relax, we are fine” I said gulping my beer in one go and reaching for another one.

“yeah you are right” he said sitting next to me and reaching for his drink and he seemed to calm down after that

“at least we got away” he said after taking the first sip now I was officially confused he was acting weird, but I decided to ignore him I was simply in no mood to deal with his shenanigans.

We sat there drinking until midnight with Noah refusing to come to bed and I guessed he was still spooked by our encounter with the Alpha weird. I left him on the couch shortly after midnight and headed for bed I was wasted, I threw myself on the bed and prepared myself for a peaceful night with absolutely no dreams whatsoever.

I woke up earlier than I wanted to the next morning and decided to go out to get a heavy breakfast and a strong cup of coffee and painkillers I was hung over. I headed to the bathroom to take a quick bath first then after I was done I quickly applied body lotion and put on some foundation and setting powder, then I put my dark red lipstick, I slid into some blue denim shorts and yellow crop top then carefully placed my phone in my back pocket. I ruffled my hair a bit giving it a messy look that I liked and headed out.

I walked past Noah who was passed out on the couch with empty bottles of beer around him; he probably stole some of my beers I thought. I headed to the parking lot and got onto my bike and decided I would head to the coffee shop that was 10 minutes away from our apartment. I got into the coffee shop and took my seat at the far end of the restaurant where I could clearly see anyone and everyone who walked into the restaurant. A few minutes later a waitress came over to me and took m order, I needed a heavy breakfast so I ordered myself a farmhouse breakfast which consisted of 3 scrambled eggs, 2 slices of toast, a sausage, 2 rashers of bacon and two grilled tomatoes.

After she took my order I watched her as she hurried off wondering what it felt to be human. I felt like they had no worries in the world they could live their own lives and no one would care or so it seemed to me. A few minutes later two good looking men burst in and headed straight for me, the one that was walking in front had ocean blue eyes and a sharp chin he looked like he was 5’8 and had short messy blonde hair he looked very friendly, he took a seat right next to me and I could now see the guy behind him and it was Alpha weird from yesterday, who was eyeing me like I was a piece of meat he wanted to consume. Something about his presence made my skin crawl and I couldn’t quite tell what feelings I had toward this weird man, lust or fear but he was mouthwatering. He had green eyes and jet black hair and extremely white teeth. His hair was curly and shoulder length long.

There was just something so irresistible about him something that just kept pulling me in and I swear for the first time in three years I felt my wolf fight me for control but I quickly suppressed her and ignored that feeling. He took a seat next to me and I was now in-between these two broad shouldered man that could’ve passed for my body guards, a few minutes later the waitress returned with my food and set It in front of me, giving Alpha weird as I was calling him a fearful look before walking away. Why was everyone so f*****g terrified of this guy I wondered as I salted my eggs without even tasting them first and pouring some hot sauce over them then I started eating ignoring the two strangers that joined me without invitation.

“Good morning angel “said the other one and I raised my head slowly to look at him while his friend shot him a warning look and I heard a low growl then the other one simply looked away with a smile I couldn’t understand.

“Can I help you fellows? This restaurant is half empty and you dumb asses decide to sit on the occupied one” I said not stopping even for a second to look at them while I addressed them

“I am the great and most feared Alpha Damien of the…” I stopped him right there

“Are you dumb, deaf or plain stupid? I asked why you chose to sit here with me when this restaurant is almost deserted?” I asked again getting impatient. He sighed and I could see him trying hard to control his anger as a vein popped up and started throbbing on his forehead, this guy must take rejection badly I thought.

Too bad...

“You seriously don’t know who I am to you?” he asked and I rolled my eyes while they exchanged confused looks with his sidekick

“Should I know who the f**k you are?” I asked with a light laugh

“I am your long awaited mate” and with that I burst out laughing

“Long awaited mate my ass." I said dropping the cutlery on the table.

"Whatever makes you think I waited for your dumb ass, and I already have a mate” I announced standing up having lost my appetite at this new discovery and I thought wolves were supposed to know when they meet their mates.

oh that’s right I had been wolf less for a few years and I am pretty sure she would want to talk to me now because I had been sensing her a lot since I met my so called mate yesterday.

“I don’t have time for this bullshit” I said walking off and before I knew it I was being picked up and flung across his broad shoulders and carried out of the restaurant, what an imbecile. I thought of taking my phone and calling Noah but I knew that would be in vain as his side kick was walking right behind us and watching my every move closely, he threw me roughly in the Black SUV while the other guy carried my bike into the back of the car and then him and his friend got in the front and spend off. I couldn’t actually believe that I was being kidnapped in broad daylight and no one seemed to care.

We drove for about an hour until we were outside of town in a secluded place that looked like it had zero population. He put his finger on the sensor and the big black gates opened and we drove in now I was sure I was in prison, I looked out the window at the castle like house that we were driving toward and then I realized that my mouth was wide open the whole time the last time I had seen a house this big and fancy was when Noah and I used to break into rich people’s house.

There were two staircases that lead to the house’s entrance and in-between them was a small water fountain that was surrounded by plants. The car came to a halt and the two men got out the other one grabbing my bike while the other one, Alpha weird to be precise came over to open the door for me and motioned for me to get out, Instead I moved to the far end and quizzed my petite body in-between seats.

When he realized I had no intention of getting out he reached for my leg in an attempt to pull me out and I kicked him as hard as I could on the face and he fell back landing on his ass. I chuckled when I realized he didn’t expect me to be that strong or to fight back. He stood up and dusted himself and spit the blood out. I got out of the car and stretched myself and he launched at me and pushed me against the car while choking me and squeezing hard I could hardly breathe. He lifted me up with one hand while slamming me on the car and the car moved a little bit from the force.

“Now you listen to me sunshine, you will behave yourself. If it was up to me I would have killed you the night I met you but my wolf won’t have that, because he seems to think we need you, now if you want to have a pleasant stay here you will behave yourself” he whispered his breath sending chills down my spine and I was turned on, it was a strong hold and painful but I was turned on.

The immediate contact of our skin no matter how violent it was seemed to form a type of electricity current that I couldn’t ignore and damn it I was turned on. I hated the effect he had on me I had to find a way to break this stupid bond. I managed to summon strength and kicked him right in the balls and he dropped me and grabbed his balls in pain and I chuckled while coughing and trying to catch my breath.

“I don’t want to stay here with you, sick twisted little f**k” I said with a raspy voice while standing up and positioning myself ready to attack him. He stumbled up and I kicked him in the face and he stumbled back down, I could see I was infuriating him and I loved it. There was no way I was going to make this easy for him.

“I am going to make you regret kidnapping me” I said taking off my jacket and turning around to drop it on the ground dropping it on the ground, big mistake because when I turned around I was greeted by his fist which made me stumble back and I almost blacked out I could feel the blood oozing out of my nose as I fell to the ground.

The punch was followed by a series of kicks on my stomach and he kept going until someone came to my rescue and pulled him off me, I managed to let out a weak chuckle.

“I will kill you with my bare hands’ I heard him shout before I blacked out.
