Running into Westwood

1403 Words
“You ruined this for everyone!” the man screams, bringing the whip down on my body once more. I bite my lip in an effort to stop my scream of pain from escaping. “I’m sorry!” I whimper, pressing my body even closer to the chilling wall. “You better be sorry, you worthless Omega!” he growls, slamming the whip down again. Screaming out in pain, I attempt to curl into myself, even though my hands and feet are chained to the wall of my cell. “Stay still! You made us suffer and now you’re gonna suffer!” he snaps, taking a silver knife from a pocket in his pants. Bringing it up to my stomach, he quickly slashes, making me let out a blood curdling scream. “You shut your mouth! You deserve this!” he roars, pressing the knife harder into my abdomen. Clamping my mouth shut, I hold in my screams. I will not give him the satisfaction of hearing my pain. This only serves to make him angrier, as he brings the whip down harder and harder each time. After many hours, countless cuts, and many bruises later, another man finally enters the room. He has an aura of authority around him and makes me shiver in fear, pressing my body even farther into the wall. “That’s enough, Frank,“ he barks, standing in the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest. “Yes, Sir,“ the other man murmurs, putting away the whip and placing the knife back in his pocket. Stepping up to me, he gives me a look of disgust before unlatching the shackles around my wrists and ankles. I am unable to support my own weight and this causes me to collapse in a b****y heap on the floor. “We’re having a visitor tomorrow. Congratulations, you earned yourself a meal,“ the man standing in the doorway sneers. Flashing me one last disgusted look, they both turn and leave the room. Tears well up in my eyes, as the pain in my body becomes too much for me and everything goes black. ~~~~~ “Omega. Get up,“ someone orders. Rolling over to my side, I try to open my eyes, only to find them sealed shut. Groaning, I sit up and rub a hand over my face, prying open my eyes. “I said get up!” the man screams, slapping me hard on the cheek. I shakily rise to my feet, using the wall as support. Looking over at him with fear, a lump begins to form in my throat at the chilling smirk that appears on his face. He slowly stalks towards me, the smirk on his face growing. My heart rate accelerates and my fingernails scrape against the wall, grasping for some support. “Frank! Now!” the man from before, who I assume is the leader, yells as he appears in the doorway. Widening my eyes in shock, the man, who I now know is named Frank, quickly pushes me a plate of food and a new set of clothes, before turning and scurrying out of my cell. Sliding down the wall, I pull the plate of food towards me. Bile rises in my throat, as I take in the moldy bologna and cheese laying on the plate. Frowning in disappointment and disgust, I push the plate away from me and look down at the clothes laying at my feet. I reach down and pick up the thin piece of clothing, bringing it to my body. The thin dress that they threw at me stops just below my butt and barely covers the left side of my body. “Get dressed.” a voice orders, causing me to snap my head up just in time to see the leader turning and leaving through the entrance of the cell. No longer wanting to be beaten, I quickly slip on the dress and wait at the entrance hoping to be let out. ~~~~~ The party is in full swing. The music is bumping and flowing throughout the room. I harshly bite my lip as I lean against the staircase behind me, looking for a way out. Glancing at all the people around me, a frown takes over my face. All of their faces are filled with smiles and happiness. Everyone here is happy. They are gifted with that and I‘m not. This party is a present to a visiting alpha. He is coming of age and wants a party to celebrate. The new leader of this small pack thinks it would be a great idea to have it here. Rolling my eyes, I take in my captives across the room. They are each leaning against the wall flirting with different girls. Swallowing hard, I look over to the door. No one is standing by it. Mostly everyone is on the dance floor or over by the food table. Inching myself towards the door, I keep my eyes on the two men across the room. Reaching the door, I carefully open it, making sure no one notices. Slipping out of the ballroom, I quietly shut the door behind me. With a last gulp of air, I sprint to the front entrance of the house and run outside. Slipping off my heels, I break into a sprint, straight into the forest. ~~~~~ The unsteady pounding of my feet on the uneven ground only served to boost my adrenaline. My heart was pounding and my breathing was shaky. The twigs snapping under my feet and the tree branches slapping against my body made me feel at home. Reaching a break in the trees, I will myself to run faster. Seeking the comfort of cover, I sprint across the small field and into the vast trees once again. Attempting to calm my racing heart, I slow into a comfortable sprint and focus on the nature around me. Taking in the thick tree cover and the various woodland animals that I nearly crush under my feet, I smile in victory. I was leaving this place. I didn’t have to suffer anymore. I could be happy. Hearing no sounds around me, my heart calms into steady rhythm. Breathing a sigh of relief, I slow to a jog and continue through the trees. No one was following me. My plan had worked. I was nearing another pack’s territory now. I could see their guards pacing up and down the border line. A lump begins to form in my throat as I crouch down in a nearby bush. Gulping I take in the various guards standing in front of me. There were around 10 of them and they looked deadly. Each wolf was adorned in a military looking uniform with a huge shotgun slung over their shoulder. My eyebrows furrow in confusion. If they were wolves, why did they need guns? Aren’t they strong enough on their own? Shrugging it off, I move accidentally making the leaves of the bush rustle. A guard snaps his head over in my direction and narrows his eyes slightly. Laying flat on my back, I hide myself as well as I can behind the bush. The guard’s footsteps draw nearer and nearer to the bush and I hold my breath, praying to the moon goddess that he wouldn't find me. The scuff of his boots against the dirt ground and my pounding heart is all that can be heard. The man walks over to the bush that I am hiding behind and leans down. The barrel of the g*n peaks through the bush. Chills run up my body. My heart drops to the bottom of my stomach. The shrill echo of the g*n screeches through the forest. A bullet whizzes past me, hitting the tree behind me. A shriek escapes my lips and I launch myself out from my hiding place, stumbling away and trying to break into a sprint. The man jumps up after me, wrapping a hand around my hair and yanking back. He smirks at my screams and drags me over the pack border. “Welcome to Westwood pack, sweetheart. We’re your worst nightmare.” the man whispers in my ear. My breathing stills. Westwood pack, the deadliest and most dangerous of them all.
