Chapter 20:
"Aaachoo!"
Elisabeth blew her nose on a tissue and looked up. Nathan and Caroline were trying and failing to hold their laughter.
"Go ahead. If my misery gives you joy then don't mind me." She waved her hand and sniffed. Her nose felt raw from all the blowing and rubbing, nevermind the swollen face and watery eyes. She looked like an Elf!
At once, they both (whom Elisabeth had once thought as her friends) burst out laughing. She pretended to be annoyed but in reality Elisabeth was filled with warmth. Besides Aria, she had friends to laugh and fool around with now.
How quickly Elisabeth started to feel comfortable with them, it was crazy.
"Yeah, yeah." Elisabeth reached out for another handful of tissues and wiped her nose.
