~CELIE’S POV~ In Egon’s absence, this place appears even more foreign, as the people’s disdainful gazes get even more consuming when there’s nobody to censor them. By reminding myself how it will all change in a fraction of a few days, I sit at my desk and hope and pray Leda is doing alright, which unfortunately does not assist me much in liberating myself from my fears about her wellbeing. Following the distressful assumptions about how she could be suffering something as terrible as being sent to the dungeons of Hereford castle, I rest my uneasy head on my hand, where I soon observe a letter addressed to me. Unsure of the person responsible for drafting it because of its lack of the sender’s name, I tear its seal and pick the paper out of the envelope to go through its contents.
