Elijah POV
“Alpha! Five vampires nearing the border! They look to be carrying something and moving in fast!” The link comes in from an elite. I snap my attention across the room to Jake who has alarm on his face, and is talking in hushed tones to Bella.
“All available warriors to the north border! Those stationed in the pack house are to stay and keep this place on lockdown! No one in or out once we all head out.” I command in the group link to all the warriors. I get up, my son mirroring my movement. He holds up a hand and speaks before I can.
“No time to argue. I'm coming,” he demands then rushes towards the door before I can respond. I notice Aaron, Max, and Dan all following behind. Natalia goes to move but Sam grabs her waist and holds her back.
