Chapter 10
Darcie’s heart was in her throat as she watched Daniel dangle in the air. He had told her over and over again, it was safe, but she had trouble believing that as he rose and fell in the air. Why he thought this was a great date idea she didn’t know. Between the motorcycle and job he did, she was sure he was some kind of adrenaline junkie. She was not. She liked her feet planted firmly on the ground. Even if she admitted, just to herself that it looked kind of fun. The instructor never let Daniel get to close to the ground nor too high in the air. As a Delta Force member, she was sure he’d jumped out of his fair share of planes. The few feet he was off the ground wouldn’t even phase him, for her it scared her. It was still high enough you could hurt yourself.
