Prologue: Aramis Bronx Davina

520 Words
I was born with having a name that my mom wanted from a game before, but despite how beguiling and strong my name sounds, I was the opposite of that.     My body isn’t the type to look for things that are new most especially the tiring ones. I don’t like sports or any of those things that athletes always advertise about.     Who on earth would want to run or play in the middle of the day with the smell of the sun and sweat sticking into your skin?     Yeah, sure you lose weight, stay fit, but isn’t that so tiring? Not all people have someone that can do their laundry. Plus, I don’t like my laundry smell that bad when I’m washing it.     It’s disgusting as hell, so with that hatred against any sports, I lived my life staying indoors with my novels and games of being a warrior.     I liked to play games that can make me level up, be the most outstanding ones against all my rivalry, but don’t get me wrong. I only want to achieve that in games or predict it in the stories that I read.     Nerd. That was my famous nickname from grade school to junior high, but I didn’t bother any of those bullies. I was happy with who I am, I am content being like that.     I despise sports, but reading how main characters surpass challenges to achieve something is really admirable, plus in my games, I feel very fulfilled.     My mom told me that my name came from a warrioress, but she never mentioned what that story or game was. I badly wanted to play it or even read that story, but she didn’t give it to me.     Playing different easy, middle, and hard level games became my life, so I don’t want to miss every single game that my favorite gaming store releases.     But then, a day came when she started bargaining with me to go outside, so she’ll let me read or play that story.     So, I did go out because I was so curious about it. But I didn’t know that curiosity can really kill people. If only I knew that death would be finally knocking on my door, I wouldn’t come out of my house.     I wouldn’t come out of my room just to get that rare novel and game…     and I wouldn’t be here reincarnated as a Bedridden Warrioress Candidate to become the Devil King’s Wife.   ***   This is a work of fiction.
