Aramis Bronx Davina
After that tense scene with the strongest one in nobles, I came back with Dahlia in our position together with Loane and Thalia.
I thought they heard my statement, but all of them just looked curious about how I and that Soriah talk with each other.
"You know about her?!" Dahlia looks surprised, she's probably wondering why I remembered that woman's name aside from other important things that I should remember.
"Well, someone told me about her before I entered this castle weeks ago," I admitted, so she just nodded before sighing.
"Don't be too involved with her, she's known for paying people or selling her body just so she could get what she wants, and it was proven that she asked someone to take someone out for her," she mumbled while glancing around our surroundings, afraid that someone might hear her.
Take someone out?! I didn't know that kind of deed was present here.
"Dahlia's right, it's better for us to stay in the limelight, less trouble, and attention," Loane agreed with Dahlia, but Thalia just laughed.
"That would be too impossible for our Aramis here. After all, she's the talk of some nobles and warrioress here," she said, which made me flinch.
I'm really the talk around here? That's a bit um, alarming.
"I wouldn't be so surprised if someone might pull you out of this challenge," she added, which made me sigh.
"If there is someone, I wouldn't accept," I immediately stated, so their eyes widened in disbelief.
"What? Why not! That's one ticket to get out of this mess," Dahlia complained, so I bitterly smiled at her.
"W-What's the matter? The idea of being sold to someone isn't really my thing," I sighed before sawing some woods.
They were quiet for a moment before sighing, "She has a point, the thought of being sold to someone means we have to be grateful about it, what if we're pulled out for disturbing reasons?" Thalia sounded concerned for a moment, which made me nod at her.
"Yes and aside from that, I can't bring myself to leave anyone here behind, that's just how I really feel," I mumbled, so those three looked at me with their eyes swelling up in tears.
"W-What the? Did I say something offending?" I panicked for a moment, but those three just ran to hug me.
"You're really starting to be sweeter Aramis!" Dahlia almost cried, so I just shook my head before patting her back.
"Hey, this doesn't mean you'll not accept an offer unless you see that those men who'll take you guys are decent enough to look for guards and not some mistress in bed," I scolded, so they all just chuckled.
"You really have changed a lot Aramis, you weren't much of a talker before and just train like crazy," Loane commented, which made me chuckle.
"Alright, enough with the drama and let's finish this before we'll wash our laundry," I reminded them, so they broke their hugs at me with their eyebrows furrowed.
"What is laundry Aramis?" Dahlia tilted her head quizzically at me, which made me flinch before nervously laughing at them.
"U-Um you know! A-Another term for washing our clothes?" I tried to make up some reasons that hopefully they'll buy, but they just shrugged.
"The only other term for washing our clothes is Great Wash, but only royalties can do that since they have maids, so our place is in the river," Loane said, so I just sighed in relief.
Well, that was a close one.
After our meaningful talks, we decided to build and finish some parts of our small boat. There are only a few people left on the grounds and all of them are close to cleaning things up before leaving.
Loane and Thalia were only sewing their sheets, while Dahlia and I were close to finishing our base.
"Hey we should stop now and wash our dirty clothes before they'll close the gates towards the river," Loane stretched her joints, so we all agreed to clean things up and decided to place it somewhere others won't mind.
"There's no such thing as sabotaging here right?" I curiously asked while placing some large leaves on the bases, so those girls just shrugged.
I just sighed and invited them to leave the grounds. After we reached the quarters, they told me to change my clothes and slip into my white gown.
"Huh? Why would I wear a gown while washing some clothes? Wouldn't that be so heavy once it absorbed some water?" I confusingly asked, but they insisted on letting me wear it.
"This is a tradition with us ladies, we never went against this rule! Don't tell me you also forgot about this?" Dahlia asked, so I bit my lower lip which made her laugh.
Can she blame me! I always had my laundry before! I have never washed something on my own using my hands aside from plates!
"Alright, just follow our lead and you'll remember it for sure when we get there," Dahlia sounded excited, so Loane just chuckled while looking at Dahlia.
She's already in her white thin gown, I didn't pay attention to it before but these girls are also blessed with beauties. It such a shame that they're also part of this murder game.
"She's just excited because she wants to swim and play in the water," Loane mumbled before tapping my shoulders, "Let's go Aramis," she invited, which made me smile as I went out with them with buckets and large basins on our waist we borrowed at the sprinklers.
It didn't take us a while to get there since they told me it's located near the gardens. My eyes almost widened upon seeing a wide river inside of the palace. There's a gate in the center where the river flows somewhere out to the Kingdom and on to the forest.
The almost salmon, slightly orange skies were telling us that the sun was setting and it's exhilarating to watch it be done.
The river looks ultimately magnificent. It looks like something out of the movie. The sounds of its streams sound so comforting.
"Yes! We're the only ones here!" Dahlia cheered because she was right, there's no one aside from us four including Thalia.
"Lucky us! Come on! Let's get this started with!" Thalia sprinted to match Dahlia's pace and they both stepped into the flowing river.
They didn't mind their long white thin gowns as they stepped on that rocky river, Thalia and Dahlia started playing on the stream like some kids.
"Hey guys, rivers have uneven rocks below so be careful where you guys stand, you might even trip because of these freaking long gowns," I complained, so Loane just laughed and dragged me near the river.
"Come on, let's just wash our clothes," After she dragged me, my feet felt the cold endless flowing stream of the river.
It felt so refreshing in my feet despite my irritation for having the lower part of the gown wet already.
Who on earth wears white long thin gowns while washing their clothes? They're just going to make their undies wet.
My eyes looked at Loane and she tied her hair up before deciding to get some water using our buckets and wide basins.
"So have you remembered to wash now?" Loane asked, before peering at me intently. I just shook my head which made her sigh.
"Come on, watch me wash mine," she smiled before starting to wet a white soap on the basin she filled before scrubbing the blouse using her hands.
I did what she did and decided to clean my clothes. It was fun at first but removing some harsh stains was the worst!
"I think I'm starting to miss my washing machine already," I frustratedly whispered and just grunted as I continued scrubbing the soap and my hands to remove those stains.
Thalia and Dahlia decided to take a bath in the fresh river first before they decided to come and join us.
"Why don't you guys take a bath first before washing your clothes?" Dahlia pouted before dragging her own basin and bucket.
"You played enough, plus we don't know when the gate towards this river will close, some of the guards might kick us out if they saw us messing around," Loane reminded them, which made me agree with her.
"Come on, how about we play in the mud? The mud is clean here and it is good for facials," Dahlia mumbled, which made my eyes widened.
"Mud facials?! Is that really clean or something?" After I said those words, Dahlia grabbed some mud near the river and started throwing some mud that caused us to run around and laugh just to avoid Dahlia.
We stopped when we heard someone approaching the river, we all glanced at our backs and saw a few nobles approaching our presence.
"Well, well, would you look at that," Soriah had this smug look on her face, I tilted my head at her and saw that they're also in their white and more decent thin long gowns.
I glanced at our outfits and we're covered with mud. The rest of my gang stopped and looked at them intently.
"Peasant being peasants, as usual, mud suits you guys well," Soriah remarked, so her companions laughed at her behind before looking at us with disgust.
"What did you say?" I was about to go and approach her when Loane stopped me while grabbing my wrist.
I glanced at her and she just shook her head, "Don't bother, this will end dirty Aramis," she mumbled, which made me sigh and nod at her.
Loane just smiled before inviting me to finish cleaning and scrubbing our clothes, "That's right, go back to doing something more important aside from letting out your animal attitudes around the castle grounds," Soriah added, which made me grip my hands and just followed Loane at the edge where we scrubbed our clothes.
She's right on not letting them get into my nerve, I might end up drowning them in this clean river.
No one has the right to express their opinions like that unless they have valid proof to support that statement.
Those nobles didn't have buckets or basins with them, it looks like they're just here to take a bath. They went to the opposite side to avoid catching the soaps we're using.
"It was fun, but then they came here," Dahlia sounded depressed more than usual, which made me chuckle as I saw her scrubbing her own clothes.
"It's alright, we can come back whenever we want after the next challenge," I stated, so Dahlia's eyes widened before smiling.
"That would be a great idea!" she laughed and stopped when someone poured some mud on my head, so I froze before checking it.
It wasn't just mud scooped by hands, it was mud from a bucket.
Dahlia, Thalia, and Loane's eyes widened after seeing me in a state like that, "Hey! What are you doing?!" Thalia shouted before glaring at them.
"This is way over the line, we didn't even do anything to you!" Dahlia complained before standing up.
An obnoxious laugh was to be heard behind me, "Oh look! Now the bedridden warrioress suits the title of being a pig!" Soriah pitied me and laughed again together with her so-called friends.
I just sighed and stood up, I glanced at Loane so she just sighed before nodding because she knew what I was about to do and she couldn't stop me.
A big smile was plastered on my lips and faced those girls, "Well, we're trying to make things as peaceful here as possible, and yet you're bringing this disaster to yourself," I mumbled.
I washed my hair first and my body, but the mud they poured stayed in my white gown. This would be difficult to remove. Tsk!
"Now then, let's make this more interesting eh?" I smirked and after that, I swiftly ran and dragged that Soriah on the river.
"What the--" I didn't let her react as I pushed her in the river and drowned her for a moment before letting her gain air.
"W-What are you doing?! Are you trying to kill me?!" She complained and some of her friends tried to help her but were stopped by my gang. I smirked when I saw her glaring at me as I held her waist while I'm mounting her down to the river.
"Let's play, answer or drown," I announced and allowed my devil side to punish this human being. This is for putting huge stains on my white dress.
