He looked over at the rune-covered south wall. What did I miss? he wondered. With a heightened awareness, he looked at the remaining three walls. On the north wall was the faint outline of a vaguely-humanoid being. Odd I didn't see that before, he thought, stepping toward it. The figure looked to be about the same height and breadth as Culann himself. Further, the effigy looked positioned just as Culann was. He raised his arms. The effigy raised its arms, sparks flying from the hands, leaving lighter streaks. Culann backed away, and the figure faded. He stepped toward it again, and the effigy returned. On a whim, he gesticulated through an elaborate set of gestures. Streaks on the wall marked the movement of his hands. Druidic prestidigitation! He giggled, giddy with the discovery
