The morning had been productive, and Morgan paused in her work to stretch, easing the kink out of her back. She looked with satisfaction at the work piled on her desk. Stacked in the center was a pile of envelopes to go out in the mail; invoices for work she had just finished. “That should keep you in kitty food,” Morgan said as she reached out and scratched Misty behind the ears. But the kitten was unimpressed; she was too busy trying to steal a shiny pen lying on the desk that Morgan had yet to put away. “You just never mind,” Morgan warned the kitten with a laugh. Finishing her stretch, she felt relaxed as she walked over to the worktable and looked down at a stack of books that needed her attention. This was one project she was going to enjoy.
