Nathan’s Story
Midge was in a hurry, but there was one more stop she had to make. She looked for the furthest picnic grove she could find, one well away from the parkway with its constant stream of rush hour commuters. Scanning the area to be sure it was deserted, she eased the Honda in a curve that took her towards the parking lot. Although it was supposed to become warmer today, it was still rather chilly in the misty dawn. It was unlikely anyone would be in the park at this hour. As if to form an exception, she saw a single figure, far off to her left, walking his dog, plodding along with head lowered, paying no attention to the silver Honda that pulled into the isolated parking lot.
