After the afternoon teabreak with almost every colleague and senior lavishing praises and thanks to Lynney, there was still the extra blessing that Miss Wilson promised to reimburse Lynney even after she had said she got all the refreshment items for free due to a promotion. She had never wanted to reveal the secret of her birthday to anyone of them since day one...
Now, out of the office once more as she had always wished for her dream job to be, her heart was brimming with gratefulness and joy as she thought of a bonus fresh blueberry cheesecake given by the cafeteria she has reserved for herself on this 'second' twenty-eighth birthday. Of course, she has to attempt to make sense of all this extraordinary time confusion even though she was getting so much of happiness out of it.
She sat down by the bus-stop waiting to make her next errand to the printing company office about a half-hour's ride away. She has always been someone overly stressed by driving and that was not because she has no license to do so. Now, thanking God despite all the doubts and questions, she pulled out her personal notebook and began another mind-speeding attempt to write down all that could have happened the previous day - her earlier first day of twenty-eighth birthday...
She was immensely caught up with the task, only to be unfortunately interrupted by the sound of the big vehicle arriving and stopping by the curb right in front of her. Lynney was taken aback, for she had been in the midst of the pure enjoyment of writing everything down. She was about to rashly stuff her book into her tote bag when something most undesirable crossed her mind. In all the rush of coming back to her workplace, she had forgotten to shut all the windows of her apartment home...Who would know if she had turned off the lights, the stove, and anything else...Overwhelmed, she has to bear the worries and concerns and dashed straight into the bus before the driver almost pulled away from the stop.
