Chapter 7

1126 Words
Isla Mate? What the f**k? There was no way that I heard that. I was clearly mishearing things in my fear. There really was no way that the Alpha King just said that. My heart pounded in my ears as I stared up at the imposing figure of Alpha King Tristan, his piercing blue eyes locking onto mine with a fierce intensity. Panic rose in my throat as I struggled against the immovable weight pinning me down. His body was hot, hard, and so much bigger than my own. I clawed at the leaf-littered soil, trying to find something to wrench myself free.A low growl rumbled through him again. "Calm yourself, little one." His breath stirred my hair, and I shuddered. "Why are you fighting me?" Was he kidding? Did he really expect me to go down without a fight? His hands slid under my shirt, calloused palms gliding over my bare skin. I gasped, arching away from his touch, but he only gripped me tighter, nuzzling against my neck. "So soft," he purred, fingers teasing along the edge of my bra. "So perfect." Revulsion and terror churned in my gut. What was he doing? I tried to struggle away from his wandering hands but he was too strong and I was trapped beneath his weight. But as I felt his thumb slip under my bra a shiver of excitement ran through me. It felt like my body was reacting to his touch, and I found myself almost calming as his breath caressed my neck. “That’s it little one,” he growled low against me and I felt the unmistakable bulge in his pants rubbing against my leg. The sharp nip of his teeth against my skin immediately pulled from whatever fog that was trying to invade my mind. "Get off me!" I screamed, bucking with renewed fury. What the hell was happening.? A low growl rumbled through him. "I will not." His hands slid higher, cupping my breasts, his finger and thumb capturing my n****e and rolling it,and a wave of humiliation washed over me. "I’ve caught you now, and I will do as I wish." "No!" I cried out in a mix of pain and the unexplained arousal that was beginning to grow inside me. "Let me go!" I gasped, my heart pounding wildly in my chest as I struggled beneath Tristan's iron grip. But instead of relenting, he only pulled me closer. "Stop fighting," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. But as much as I feared him, I couldn't bring myself to submit. Not when it would mean my last breath. Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I fought against Tristan's hold, desperation fueling my actions. In a sudden burst of strength, I managed to bring my knee up to his crotch with a sharp, precise movement. His grip on me faltered, and I took advantage of his shock to wrench myself free. "f**k you!" I spat, my heart pounding wildly in my chest as I sprinted into the woods. The darkness shrouded me like a cloak, but I knew it wouldn't be enough to hide from the Alpha King. My fear was palpable, the chilling air biting at my exposed skin as I ran. "Run all you want, little one," he called behind me, his voice seemed to hold amusement, like my life was nothing more than a game for him. "I'll always find you." His words sent a shiver down my spine, but I refused to give in to the terror that threatened to engulf me. I had to escape, if I could just get to the road, I could maybe flag down a car. He might be the Alpha King, but surely even he wouldn’t risk humans finding out about werewolves for something as insignificant as me. Branches scraped against my face, leaving stinging welts behind, but I pushed onward, ignoring the pain. My lungs burned, and my legs felt like lead, but I couldn't stop. Not when freedom was within reach. I could see the road up ahead, not far now. I burst out onto the road and for a second I thought that maybe luck was on my side when I saw the flash of headlights in the distance. I stood in the middle of the road and willed the car to come closer, hoping that maybe, I would actually make it out of here alive. But fate seemed to have other plans. Just as I dared to hope that I might evade him, the Alpha King appeared before me, his imposing figure materialising from the shadows. He reached out, his powerful arm wrapping around my waist and yanking me back against him and pulling me back into the woods. "Got you," he purred, his breath hot against my ear as he pressed my body against a tree. The rough bark dug into my flesh, drawing a gasp of pain. "Let me go!" I cried, struggling to break free from his iron grip. But his fingers only tightened, refusing to release me. His hand wrapped around my mouth muffling my screams as the car that was to be my saviour drove past without even slowing. Tears slipped from my eyes as I knew that with that car, my hope to survive was driving further and further away. "Stop fighting me, dammit," he commanded, his voice a deadly whisper. “What the hell are you doing?” He spun me around to face him, slamming my back against the tree before I could struggle. “What is wrong with you, woman? That human could have seen you?” “That was the point, dickhead,” I spat at him and shock briefly crossed his face. “And then I would have had to kill him,” he growled. I shook my head again. He would have killed the human? For helping me? I didn’t understand. What could make me so important to him that he would risk exposure by murdering a human. “You’re a monster,” I hissed at him. That was the only reason that he would even consider it. His piercing blue eyes darkened with anger, and the air around us seemed to thicken with tension. "Keep testing me, little one," he warned, a dangerous edge to his voice. "You won't like what happens when I lose my patience." “Oh, you think you can kill me twice you bastard,” I hurled at him. “You don’t scare me, do your worst.” As I glared up at him, I knew one thing for certain—I would rather die than submit to this monster. And if fate had anything to say about it, I'd fight tooth and nail to ensure my freedom.
