CHAPTER 1
Sahara
I sat still on the soft piano bench as my piano teacher paced around the room running his fingers through his hair. "You haven't been practicing have you?" I stared at him blankly. 'I guess not."
He let out a low sigh as he gestured for me o scoot over. He sat down and stared at my hands resting on the keys. "Sahara I know its been hard having to move so far away from home. But if you really want this you have to work with me."
"But I don't want this, my father does. He thinks if I get help improving my piano skills I can get into that big prestigious university. My parents don't care about what I want." I huffed.
"Why do you think that?" Jacob pushed. "For one they never consulted me about moving until a week before it was time to go. Also they never ask me what I want, they also just tell me what to do. I am already seventeen and they still treat me like a child. After taking in everything I said Jacob finally looked up at me and parted his lips. "Well, what do you want?" "I.. don't really know yet but I know I don't like they way they're shoving piano down my throat."
"Hmm. Well, I can say I understand your parents wanting you to be successful and make it into a good school but I also understand you and what its like to be a teenager still finding themselves." "You sound so old" I stared at the side of his face and noticed how handsome he was. His dark brown-almost black hair, thick eyebrows, and big eyes. When he turned to look at me I couldn't help but notice how beautiful his mono lids were.
He chuckled before shaking his head "Sahara I'm serious, I understand what you're going through so if you need someone to talk to I'm always here" After the last word left his lips my phone rang indicating my mother was calling me. I picked up the phone "Hello" "I'm outside, hurry so I can start dinner" I said 'okay' before ending the call. "My mother is here".
"Oh wow I didn't even notice how fast time went by. I'll see you again on Wednesday." He smiled. "Okay, thank you for listening to my little rant."
"Anytime, I enjoy having talks with my students outside of the piano." I smiled and waved before leaving the room.
I walked out of the building looking for my mother's car.
