I stare at the disgusting food in front of me while they talk. I look across the table at Noah and Ryan. They have the look of horror on their face as they move food around their plate.

" Prince Sebastian, when is your introduction," Nathaniel asks.

" In a few weeks. I'll have Miracle send you an invitation for your generosity," Sebastian's leg brushes mine. A warm sensation runs up my leg moving straight to my center. I squeeze my legs together. Out of the corner of my eye,I see Sebastian staring at me. I pick my glass up, setting it on my lips. What is that smell? I take a big whiff of the wine, is he trying to poison me. I set the glass down," isn't the wine good?" Nathaniel smiles at me.

" Yes," I smile. The maid that showed us to our room stands in the doorway staring at me. What is up with her? We stare at each other for a few seconds before she leaves. Sebastian leans closer to me," what was that about?"

" I don't know," I go back to playing with my food. Nathaniel finishes his food first then looks around the table.

" Do you want me to have the cook make something else for you guys?"

" No, we're fine. We had a big lunch," Miracle puts her hand on his arm.

" If that's the case. Let's go in the living room and have a nightcap," he stands up. Everyone gets up following out the dining room and down the hall.

The fireplace is lit with the lights dimmed. Is he trying to create a mood? I look around the room at the spider webs and dust in the corners. He grabs another bottle of wine and starts pouring it in cups. Miracle and Tristan pass them out to us. Nathaniel raises his cup in the air, " let's cheers to a safe journey." We all raise our glasses," safe journey." I bring the cup to myrace smelling another foul scent. I pull it from my face seeing the other gagging.

" The wine must be dryer than I thought," he chuckles.

" Let's get some music playing," Nathaniel walks over to a record player. He moves the needle and music starts to play.

" Let's dance," Nathaniel turns around and observes the room. Miracle and Tristan put their glasses down and move to the center of the living room.

Nathaniel walks over to me," would you care to dance," he holds his hand out. My stomach turns from the spoiled food on his breath.

" Sorry to cut in," Sebastian grabs my hand pulling me closer to him. The tingles start to go off like fireworks. No not now, I feel my marking heat up. Sebastian sways us side to side slowly. I look around the room as everyone's body starts to drop a little. Sebastian's steady pace starts to become an off beat movement. I make eye contact with Ryan and Noah as they lean against the wall. I pull away from Sebastian before my markings start to light up.

" Are you okay," he slurs

" Yeah, but you're not." Nathaniel walks over to us," is everything okay?"

" We're just a little tired," I wrap my arms around Sebastian's waist making sure we have no skin to skin contact.

" Do you need one of my maids to take you to your room?"

" No, I'm fine. My guards should be able to navigate," I pull Sebastian out the room.

" Have a good night princess and prince."

" Thank you, have a good night too," I walk out of the living room. Noah and Ryan follow me to the foyer each throwing Sebastian's arm around their necks. We walk up stairs to my bedroom. I open and they walk in putting Sebastian on the bed. I close the door quickly. " Nathaniel is trying to poison us or at least put us to sleep," Noah says. Ryan paces around the room," we need to get out of here."

"Even if we do. Where are we going to go? We don't know our way around here. This village doesn't look so happy and cheerful." Ryan stops pacing," then what are we going to do?"

" Go to your room and prepare for a sleepless night. That's the only option that we have." They nod," what about the prince?" I look at Sebastian face down on the bed snoring," I'll watch him." They both look at me suspiciously before leaving. I'm supposed to be keeping my distance from him but everytime I turn around he's there. I huff pacing the floor, what is going on here? Why would Nathaniel try to poison us? I look over at Sebastian, more so put us to sleep. There's no money so what else does he want? I rack my brain about it for a few more minutes before plopping myself in a chair next to the door.

I tried to look everywhere but Sebastian but my eyes kept getting drawn to him. Why him out of all the men in the world? He's such a troll, I roll my eyes. I get comfortable in the chair as he snores away. I take in every detail of his body to memory from his orange curly hair, caramel complexion,kissable lips and his lean muscles. I need to stop, I shake my head. I close my eyes, willing my mind to think about something else. After a few minutes, my body starts to relax and carry me to sleep. What is this? My body starts to hyperventilate. Why can't I breathe? I struggle to open my eyes for a few seconds.

Get up, my eyes open and the maid with purple hair is standing over top of me with her hands around my neck. I wrap my hands around her arms, releasing fire. She yells moving back," fuck." I stand up taking deep breaths, " who are you?" She looks at the burn marks on her arms," about to be your worst nightmare." She goes behind her pulling out a knife then charges at me. I move out of the way from her first swing. She turn around so fast that I almost couldn't duck the second swing. I move back and try to put space between us but she keeps pushing forward. If I use my fire powers it could burn the mansion down. The knife nick the shoulder causing me to hiss in pain. I don't have time to think.

My palms light up and I send a fireball to her stomach. It sends her flying back to the wall. The knife in her hand drops on the floor. I throw another before she could react. I run full speed across the room wrapping my hand around her neck. I hold a fireball in the other next to her head," who are you working for?" She didn't say a word. I move the fireball closer to her face," Nayyirah." I take a quick glance behind me as Sebastian sits up on the bed. I get kicked in my stomach causing me to fall back a few feet.

" What's going on"," Sebastian asks in his drunken state. I stand up quickly," stay on the bed." s**t, now I gotta protect him like that.

The fairy picks her knife off the ground and charges at me. I move out of the way before she could slice me across the chest.

" Don't hurt her," Sebastian struggles to get out of the bed.

" Lay your a*s down," I hiss at him. Fireballs fill my hands," now this is the last time I'm going to ask you fairy. Who are you working for?" She smiles then runs the perimeter of the room. I throw a fireball but it missed her hitting the dresser. I throw the other and it hit the wall. I take a deep breath, killing the fires before they spread. She runs towards me but Sebastian gets up standing between us. I pull him behind as she stabs me in the stomach. I screech in pain as she pushes the knife in deeper.
