A Little Fun Goes a Long Way
Maggie
We returned to the house while talking and laughing. We surprised everyone as they watched us.
“Thanks, Maggie. That was fun.”
“You’re welcome, Grayson.” I smiled.
Their jaws dropped as Nash and Nixon mouthed “fun” to each other.
Grayson went upstairs.
I stood there and looked at them. “What?”
“Dear, what did you do to my husband?” Lucille asked me.
“Well, we played miniature golf, but that was a bust. Then go-karts, which was horrible. Grayson tried to get me on the zip line, which was a no. The trampolines were terrible. So, I suggested an arcade.”
“An arcade?”
“Yeah, because boys enjoy video games." I walked by them. "Who knew Grayson was such a gamer?”
“Video games?” The boys asked each other, then rushed to stop me.
