After our brief chat, Nash and I decided to make sure that no one would catch us. We’ll carry protection at all costs. Man, that talk was embarrassing.
As we dealt with our situation, Jonas dealt with his family at the rental house.

“I can’t believe you, Jonas! You always pick your family over me!” Ma said.
“Are you serious? I try to make you happy. Instead, you b***h about my family to me!”
“Come on, Dad!” Jamie said.
“Jamie, stay out of it! It’s between your mother and me.”
“It’s not between Ma and you,” I said.
“What does that mean?”
“You and Mom always fight. We’re on vacation, and you both are fighting.”
“I’m tired of having to choose between your mother and my family.”
“Then don’t,” Jamie said.
