She walked to the sofa and had her seat as Eddy went to the kitchen to bring a lighter to light the cake’s candles.
“You changed the color of paint? This yellow seems brighter” she asked looking around
“I did change it last weekend, I wanted to tell you but I forget I guess” he answered lighting up the candle
“This looks much better though” she said standing up to look around when Eddy saw a bracelet on the sofa and quickly picked it up before hiding it away in his pocket.
“The candles are melting” he said calling her attention and she came back to the sofa to sing for him before he blew out the candle
“Happy birthday sweetheart” she said clapping happily before they cut the cake and ate some out of it with wine.
“I am not going back home tonight” she said to him shyly
