Their Confessions

“Say, do you like me?” Eli asks me. “What kind of ‘like’ are you referring to?” “Like you want to be your girlfriend ‘like’.” “You want me to be honest?” I ask before drinking from the bottle. “Yeah.” I gulp the liquor in my mouth, thinking about my answer. Then I just said what I feel. “Kind of.” “You can't help it, huh?” “You know I can't. It's your fault anyway. Being a pretty tomboy that is.” We chuckle and my head is feeling dizzy. This champagne is strong. D*mn... “Are you falling in love with me?” “Not a chance. I just look at you as a girlfriend and not someone I want to grow old with. You're gonna be troublesome.” She scoffs. “Well, you do have a point. I don't want to commit myself to one. I want to live life to the fullest.” “By f*cking all the girls the world?” “Precisely.” “What a vile intention,” I laugh with her. “But for real... I want to live to the fullest. Responsibilities and commitment will be getting in the way of that.” “What about managing your businesses? That also counts as responsibility.” “Yeah, it is but they're just a way for me to keep doing what I want.” “What is it that you want?” “It's not clear but I just want to chill until I die.” She sighs, moving her body like she's rubbing her back against me. “Are you chill right now?” “Yes.” “Really?” “Yeah.” “Want to stay here for a little longer?” “As long as we can... yeah.” “Okay.” “What about you? Do you have something to ask me?” “Now that you've mentioned it, I do have something to ask you.” She turns her head to look at me in the eyes. Her cheeks are red right now. “What is it?” she asks. “Do you like me?” She looks down for a moment then back to my eyes.“Kind of,” she answers. I feel a pulse coming from my chest. It's very powerful. “Even though you're a lesbian?” “Yeah but it's not clear if I'm just getting caught up in the moment because I'm dizzy right now.” “How do you feel about us, kissing?” “You're talking about that now?” “I'm just wondering if you'd like a kiss from a boy.” “I don't know. Wanna find out?” This steam from the water is making my face so hot. It's even getting hot because her face is so... s*xy... I can also see her cleavage—enticing me so much. She tries to turn her whole body to face me enough and I help by turning my body over and around her. We kiss and I'm still wondering how we did this in this position. Her lips are so soft... and the taste of the champagne is sweeter on her tongue. She's very aggressive, touching my upper lip with her teeth. She pulls away to say, “That's not how you do it.” I took a moment to breathe and so did she. That was not enough, I want to kiss her again.“Then teach me,” I tell her. She turns her whole body around and sits on my legs. “You have to-” She hiccups. “retreat a little bit when I press. And when I get gentle, it's your turn.” She grabs the bottle from my hand and drinks the remaining champagne. Then it slips from her hand, making it fall into the water. I feel it against the side of my leg. “It gives kissing more suspense,” she says. Wiping her lips with her arm, we look at each other's eyes without blinking. Once she's done, she goes kissing me again. I retreat for a bit because she's pressing on and she's chasing my lips. I stop and it gets more intense. Somehow, I feel she is getting tired and wants to stop but I chase her, pulling her close. Now, I get what she means... “Woah, there,” she smugs at me right after we stop. She caught my hand squeezing her a*s. “We're too early for that,” she says. “Oh,” I chuckle “Sorry.” She sits and leans her back against my chest as she did earlier. We settle down, both breathing hard. I swallow a lot of times because her saliva is still in my mouth. It tastes like candy—I like it. “You're quite a chad when you're drunk, aren't ya?” she asks. “Do I?” I ask, grabbing her hand. “If you could act like that all the time, you could wet hundreds of vaganas with your single glance.” “So, that means, right now, your-” “Not a chance.” She elbows my chest. “Ow...” She sighs very deeply and leans against me more. “D*mn, my head is so dizzy! I never thought that champagne is strong. It clouded... my decision.” “It's not that bad.” “It's only good for you... because I didn't wanna kiss a guy in the first place.” “But why did you let me kiss you then, huh?” I tease, tickling her waist. “Stop!” she yells, giggling, and slapping my hand. “You're acting like a girl now,” I laugh. “I'm not!” she insists, elbowing my chest again but I can't stop laughing. “Okay, okay, stop. You're gonna crush my ribs.” After laughing, I sigh. Like a physician, she holds my arm and looks at it. “You've gained a lot of muscles,” she remarks. “Yeah. I've been eating a lot of meat lately.” “Is that so?” “It is. Oh, forgot that Mom's grilling meat right now.” “Wanna go out now?” “Yeah.” “Okay, let's go.” She stands up first and from here, her butt is near my face. “You got a nice a*s, can I slap it?” I ask. “If you want a knuckle in your mouth.” I chuckle to tell her it's a joke. I say, “Okay, I'll pass.” Just as she tries to get out of the bath, I stand up too. “Be careful, you'll slip,” I warn. “I can handle myself, you fool,” she asserts with a drunken tone. She slips and was about to fall backward but I caught her by the armpits. “Told ya. And that was close. You almost hit your head.” “I've got it...,” she argues but I know she's just keeping up her pride. She rinses herself under the shower first and closed the curtains so I can't see. I want to see her n*ked but I must respect her space. I might be a little drunk right now but I still have complete control of my morality. I open my eyes and realize that I slept for a few minutes. She comes out of the shower with new clothes. “You done?” I ask. “Yeah,” she answers, drying her hair with her towel. It is my turn and the shower somehow washes off my intoxication. I'm lazy using her soap to clean myself because I'm dizzy. I give up cleaning myself thoroughly and just changed my clothes. I'm hard right now. It would be embarrassing if I go out with a bump in front of my shorts. When I changed into my new underwear and shorts, it calms down. “Let's go,” I tell her as I leave the shower. Her eyes look tired. “You okay?” “Yeah,” she answers with a little bit of groan. I carry her bag for her and we hold hands returning to our hut. It blows my mind thinking that we have gone this far in just our second day as couples. Are we going a little bit too fast? It doesn't matter since it feels right—I'm gonna trust this. What I learned about relationships when I was with Irene is that it's better to decide by feelings rather than the mind. Like when you know a healthy food would be good for her but you must choose what she likes more if it does do any harm. It deepens the bond. Even if my relationship with this tomboy is fragile, I hope we last long. It's fun to be with her. We already arrived at the hut and Mom suspiciously looks at both of us. Eli lets go of my hand. “You two have been drinking, haven't you?” asks Mom. Should I lie? But it would be even worse if I did because she already guessed it. I reason, “Uh... we-” “Let them be,” says Dad, helping her cooking at the grill. “They're not minors anymore.” That's my dad! Thanks, Dad! You're the man. I nod at him and he winks at me. Mom sighs, shaking her head. “Fine. Come here both of you. Let's have lunch.” We eat what they cooked and there's a lot! This is heaven! I'm the one who ate most of the grilled meat. Eli is eating most of the fruits. Sophia is at her cellphone again, barely even finishing her spaghetti. Mom and Dad are eating mostly rice and meat. Kyle is so lively eating his spaghetti and he's almost done. He wants to swim again. That reminds me... “Wanna swim after this?” I ask Eli. “No, there are too many people.” “Then, later?” “Yeah.” “What do you wanna do while we wait?” “Take pictures here and there kind of stuff.” “Okay.” Once we're done eating, we set off to hike the mountain. My mind is clear now but I feel I'm gonna have a bad hangover in the afternoon. She makes me take pictures of her every meter we walk. Also, she complains about why I can't take a good picture of her. H3ll, I don't care. We can't afford to go even higher the mountain though, because our time is limited. But we managed to get to the coffee shop on top of a high slope. The shop is simple and made out of wood—mainly bamboo. Its roof is made out of tin. Only a few people are here. At the table we're sitting, the view up here is spectacular. We can see a very high waterfall from the distance. We sit side by side at a table right next to the bamboo balcony with me at her right. Sighing, she smiles after taking a sip from her black coffee. She's smiling all this time since we set foot here. “This is the coffee I'm looking for,” she says. “But it's gonna give us a bad hangover later,” I mention. “Nah, that's gonna be a problem for later,” she argues. “Right now, just let me enjoy this moment.” I have the same coffee as hers and I agree, it does taste better than instant coffee mixes. “Do you like it here?” I ask. “I love it,” she smiles with her eyes closed. My stomach is tickling, seeing her smile like that. “I'm glad.” “You've been here a lot of times?” “Yeah, every time we come here.” “I can see why.” She looks at the horizon at our left and in that view, the sea, the plain, the waterfall, and the blue sky can be seen in one gaze. The cool and fresh wind is blowing gently on our faces. But the wind carries her scent, blowing it to me. It feels good. “By the way,” she speaks and I'm startled from staring at her. “my parents want us to visit them this new year. This time, I can show you the place I love. What do you say?” “Okay, but I'll ask my parents about that. Maybe they can lend me some money.” “No need to. Father said he will give us money.” “But is it okay for you and him though? I don't wanna be a nuisance. You're always spending so much money on me that I feel bad I can't give something back to you.” She smiles. “It's okay. What you've given me is invaluable.” “Really? What is it?” “It's a secret,” she says, half-smiling before taking a sip from her coffee. Her eyelashes are so mesmerizing. “Oh, come on! Tell me.” “I'll tell you when I feel like it.” “That makes me curious even more.” We look at each other in the eyes. “Are you in love with me?” I tease. “As if,” she scoffs. “I know you. You're a tsundere.” *(Tsundere is a person with a cold personality but is really a sweetheart) “I'm not,” she denies with a calm voice. “Deny all you want but that's the truth.” Rolling her eyes, she says, “Whatever,” and takes a sip from her coffee. “You know, I don't see you as a tomboy now.” “How so?” She's not looking at me but her coffee. “You're like a girl that only happens to have a wild nature.” “Wild nature? How can you say that?” “Well, let's just say that you're the kind of girl that seeks freedom and tries everything the world has to offer without fear. You did say that you want to live life to the fullest.” Her frown turns into a smile and looks at the view. “That's somehow true,” she admits shyly. This is the first time I have witnessed her being shy. Why do I feel mellow? “But I still like girls,” she says, pouting her lips, looking to the side. “It's okay for me but let me be the only boy you like.” She chuckles, looking at me. “Does that mean you'll let me flirt with girls?” That's okay for me, I think... because I see girl-to-girl relationships as a deep friendship between girls. I swallow, thinking about this might result in a threesome. But no, I must be loyal only to one. I answer, “Maybe... but don't go too far.” “Yay!” she cheers, turning her attention to her coffee again. “And you don't have to worry about me,” I tell her. “I think it's too early for me to say this but I admit I'm starting to fall for you.” There, I said it! My heart is beating so fast! Sh*t, calm down! With her fingers, she brushes her hair over her right ear. “You said that when we were in the bathtub.” “I did?” I ask. “I forgot.” Oh, I remember now. I did say it. “Is your mind alright now?” “What do you mean? Of course, I'm serious.” “Well then, you weren't caught up in the moment after all. Now that my mind is clear too. I can say... that...” She leans to whisper, “me too... I'm starting to fall.” “So, you're a bi.” “Yeah,” she nods. “But it's okay for me. I accept who you are. You can like girls all you want but as I said, let me be the only boy for you.” “You sound cringy,” she chuckles. “I know but that's the truth. Are you okay with it?” “Okay.” “Swear it.” “I swear,” she says, looking at me. Her words are true, I feel it in my heart. So, we seal that “deal” with a kiss. That vacation is over before I realized it. Now, I'm half awake letting her sleep on my shoulder as we drive back home. I'm in the place I'm supposed to be—at her side. I don't feel lost. I'm bolted in the right place that I want to stay. This is unlike how I feel for Irene. I felt doubtful about my feelings for her. Now that when I look at Eli, I can say full-heartedly that she's the right one. I do have feelings for her and I'm not afraid if it becomes stronger and deeper. That breakup was a good choice after all. It was just yesterday and boy, how fast I've moved on...
