"I still want to know where he went," Sage said, biting her lower lip.
"He went to..." Brian was about to reply when he was interrupted by a warrior who was running toward them at great speed. He arrived in front of them and started panting.
"What’s the matter?" Brian inquired. The warrior turned to look at Sage.
"You have a visitor," he said to Sage.
"Huh?" Sage muttered, subconsciously holding tightly to her son, scared that it was her father who was looking for her.
"Who is it?" Brian asked him.
"It’s the beta from the Darkmoon pack. He says he is here to see her." The warrior said, pointing in Sage’s direction.
"Oh, it’s Jake. Take me to him," she said, smiling widely at the warrior. Brian tossed her a suspicious look. He hadn’t seen her smile so effortlessly for a while.
