Chapter 1 NEW LOVE
It burnt, it really burnt her. Everything was burning and it was not only the alcohol that Marsa was drinking that caused it. At the same time, her muscles were burning and her skin was burning as well. She didn’t know when this was all going to stop, or if this feeling is ever going to end at all. Because in my mind the hold of a different life was stuck for so long, that her reality scared her. Marsa immediately placed the glass on the bar’s counter, and with a lot of force. People around her looked at her strangely, most of them being able to understand she was in pain or crying. “Another one….. please.” She said, slurrying with her words, her voice shaking. But it came out of her never the less. The bartender did in fact hear her, slowly walking up. “I honestly think this much is enough. You have drunk way too much…” “But not enough.” Marsa said, barely being able to open her eyes. However, the man thought it was his responsibility not to give her more drinks. Seeing that she would have to go home. “How about you make a call to someone who can pick you up?” He asked, only making her laugh, pushing her head back. “That is actually a very good idea, but………. the truth of the matter is………. At the moment, there is no one I can call.” She said to him, confusing the man, more than he already is. How ever, Marsa got up from her seat, she was tumbling on her heels but the bartender grabbed her hand tightly. “Woah..” She muttered, almost falling. “I got you….” He whispered, holding her steady. “I am fine, I really……. I…. I am fine. But I think you are right……….I…… I should get going. Have got work tomorrow.” She said, taking her bag and turning around. While the man was worried about her. “Do you want me to get you a cab?” He asked. “Don't worry. I will get one myself..” She said, immediately putting on her thick jacket, trying to keep herself warm. The only thing she had with her that could give her warmth. Because everything else made her feel cold, distressed and in pain. Marsa was just so disappointed with how her life had gone. Once outside, she was looking around as if the night had fallen so quickly. She was making her way towards her car that was already parked, but Marsa couldn't remember where she put it. She looks to her right and left in the empty road. There were not a lot of cars, just one or two going away. It was a very isolated here. “Where did I park you?” Marsa asked herself, barely being able to open her eyes. Nevertheless, she turned to her right, choosing a direction for herself, and continued to walk all alone. Her footsteps echoed back to her. Marsa couldn't help but feel as if  someone was right next to her, walking with her. She glanced to her right and there it was, her own reflection staring back at her. After a very long time, she had looked at herself through a mirror. She was beautiful as always. That was a given. But there was something she definitely noticed. That was the dullness in her eyes, Marsa looked so dead on the inside and no amount of good clothes, nice shoes could ever let her forget how much of everything that was missing in her life. Marsa might not have been broken before, but right now she was gone. She looked at herself and saw a girl that she could not recognize. A girl who was so broken. Marsa backed away, not wanting to see herself like that. Although, she did not know what she was doing, or even that she was moving back to the road. Taking small steps, but keeping her eyes on herself. How ever, right at that moment, a very large SUV started to make its way towards Marsa. She was completely oblivious to it, of course. Now in her state, Marsa could hear nothing, see nothing until her subconscious brought her back to reality. The blurring stage that she was in, Marsa was pulled out of that stage. And right then came the noise of tyres screeching through. And a bright light blasted from the corner of her eyes, almost blinding her. That is when reality started to hit her. “Huhhhhh..” Marsa let out a gasp, blinking her eyes, only to see a large car rushing towards her, faster. It was trying its very best not to hit her. But she knew it was too late. “Noo…” Shutting her eyes, placing her hands on her ears, she whispered scared. Because that large sharp noise was killing her on the inside, she waited to be hurt and feel pain. However, nothing happened at all. Her breath was heavy on her chest, she was not in physical pain but she felt so much distress. But now, there was silence around. Deep dark silence. … … … … …  …    … After a long silence, Marsa heard foot steps coming towards her. How ever, she wasn’t afraid. Rather, Marsa could feel peace at the moment. Something she has not felt for a very long time. Marsa could even feel a calm feeling of knowing this person around her would keep her safe. Right then, large arms surrounded Marsa’s body. Holding her close and there was her sanctuary. This felt right to Marsa. “Theo, don't leave me….” She whispered through and her throat burned as she called out for his name. Nevertheless, she did call out for his name in pain, holding on to the man as tight as she could. Marsa felt safe there. However, she couldn't help but feel as if his arms were wrapping around her body as well. One went behind her lower back and the other one, behind her head. Going deep into her hair, and holding her like he was protecting her. “Please, don't leave. I don't want you to go again.” She said with all her feeling. Her head on his chest, she could hear his heartbeat loud and clear, as it went faster and faster. “I won’t ever leave you…” The man said. Everything started to get darker by then. Marsa felt heavy in her eyes and slowly sleep started to take over her. She let it happen, only because she was safe and that was it for her. The grip on the man started to lossen up and her legs gave away. As she let her body fall. “Huuhhh……” A small gasp leaving her now. However, the man didn't let her go. e held her unconscious body tight, resting her head firmly on his chest. He knew that she was tired and so he took her in his arms. Carrying her like it was nothing and turned around towards the passenger side of the car. Opening the door, he softly placed her in there. Not trying to wake her up, not trying to hurt her. He wouldn't have thought about that in a million years. And without wasting a second there, the man got to the driver's side of the car, sitting close to her. He glanced at her one more time. He could not resist it. He saw how she was not safe and so he put her seat belt on. Moving closer to her, breathing her beautiful scent, he simply took the belt over her across her chest. Locking her there. He glanced at her sleeping self, watching as her eyes were shaking like she was having a bad dream. He felt pain for her. “I am not going to leave you, Marsa..” He whispered, backing away and starting the car, taking her away from there and away from her misery. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. The next day came out of no where, and the bright sun constantly hit Marsa’s right on the face. Making it very uncomfortable for her to fall asleep. She woke up a little, moving around and her sheets shuffling as Marsa slowly opened her eyes. How ever, the bright light of the room was so sharp that she had to shut her eyes, almost immediately. And her head started hurting at that sudden impact. “Ahh… the hell..” She muttered. Never the less, she slowly opened her eyes completely this time, and the very first thing she noticed was the ceiling above her. It was not very familiar and this surprised her. She could feel her bed seemed different as well. “Huuhhh….” Gasping, Marsa pushed her body up, sitting up straight and right there and then she saw a man sitting on a chair I front of her bed. Like he was waiting for her to get up. “You are awake.” He said, smirking at her. While his black eyes were staring down at her, with a small smile on him. How ever, all Marsa could do was stare at Mile Soudan, the CEO of Soudan company, where she worked. She looked at him up and down, to see he was still in his suit, but his jacket was taken off. His large body just sitting opposite her. Needless to say, the whole situation was very disturbing, more over confusing to the poor girl. It was obviously very strange for Marsa to see him. All because she knew very little about that man. They had never met before, even though they work in the same company. But she knew about him, just by what the papers wrote about him and how he was to succeed the company of his father. More over, how his father only trusted Mile out of everyone else. This man single handedly brought the company to a position that no one would have imagined. And in such a short time. And now here she was, sleeping on his bed and not knowing what this location was. She was alone with him with no memory of the night before. And how she got here from where she was last night was a mystery to him.
