Gabriels POV That had been too close, way too close for comfort. I had taken a big risk when I asked to feed on her but I needed to get a lay of the land during the day time. Luckily her guards were able to get me away before I drained her. That would have gone well with father but it was in the past now. I went to the festival so I could get a sense for the people, how they behaved in a celebration like setting. I spotted Daphne before she saw me. I wasn't sure how she would react to me if I approached her so I needed to peak her curiosity.
