Serenity and Josh were sitting out on the balcony together. It had been five days since Damien left and the two were anxiously waiting for his return. They had spent the last five days making the best of the situation. They went and played with the kids in the village and even went cow tipping in the evening. The two of them together really had a way to get into mischief. They continued to work on sparring daily and Serenity was learning so much from Josh. She was really grateful for him and how he took the extra time to critique her so she could improve.
“Riders approaching!” The lookout yelled.
Josh and Serenity jumped up to see two horses riding quickly towards them. The two of them ran back through the castle and outside to meet the riders, who were approaching.
