They rode into the village and Serenity was awed with the sight. It was even bigger inside than she had thought. There were nice houses and little gardens for the villagers. Further down, away from the area that contained the villager's homes, were several shops and stores. She watched as children ran along the soldiers all excited to see them return. A few villagers cheered and yelled “Long live the king!”. These were people who definitely loved their king. Serenity couldn’t stand being on horseback anymore. She had to interact with these people. She hopped down off of her horse, once they reached the business area of the village, and ran over to one of the vendors.
