I spent Christmas Eve with my parents and Piper. On Christmas Day, I volunteered at the shelter until dark. I helped cook, then served food until we ran out. He’s impossible to forget about, but I’m trying to let go.

Her family’s throwing their traditional New Year’s Eve party, and I agreed to go even though I’m not in the mood for one. She was relentless and refused to take no for an answer.
