Lily smiled bitterly and said, "It's not you, Ma’am. It's because I miss my dad."
Lucas looked at this melancholic side of her and frowned as his heart ached. He wondered what happened to her father and how come she never told him about it.
The old lady asked with concern, "What happened to your father?"
"Perhaps he is thinking of me from somewhere, and wishes me to be happy," Lily said with a quivering voice.
