Not just an ordinary bet

Chapter 4

Heaven POV

I was waiting for Sky outside the school. Did she really mean what she said earlier? Is she not mad or something? Other people will probably get mad once they know that somebody is having a bet on them. But her? Err… I don't know. Maybe she wants that game that much that's why she's not mad. She just sees the situation as beneficial.

"Rain. Are you waiting for someone?" Tinker approached me.

 Tinker is one of my close friends. Axel is the only guy and our big bro in the group. Tinker is the most beautiful girl at the university. Also, she is one of my best friends.

"Yeah. I am waiting for someone." I replied.

"Ohh~Is that som—"

Before Tinker can complete her sentence, I feel a dark aura around me. I felt something weird. When I look at Tinker, she looks like she saw a ghost. She's so pale while pointing at my back. I slowly turn around… now I know. Her straight hair, which covers half of her face, and that death stare. It looks like I am being fetched by the grim reaper.

"Faster!" yup that's right, It's Sky everyone.

She passes through between Tinker and me.

"Who is she talking to?" Tinker asked.

"Eerr… I think I have to go? Hehe I'll explain it to you next time." I said and run while following Sky.

"I think it's the time I should tell you, Good luck Heaven!!" I hear Tinker shouted. "Hope you'll come home alive"

Ugh! It looks like I am scared of her. Maybe Tinker might think that I am under her spell. Aishh that's not true. I am indeed scared of her. Who wouldn't be? Even the bullies are afraid to be near her.

It's like she has a curse. I remember one time, a group of seven boys are trying to be near her and make fun of her. Then one day they got the news that they're all kicked out of the school. Not just that, they all have bruises and a black eye. Also, they keep saying, "don't get near her. She's a curse!" Even though they did not drop a name, everyone thinks that it is Sky. Because Sky is the only one they targeted before they got those bruises.

"....after you get the game, tomorrow morning, we'll show Axel that you are slowly making a progress." She told me in a cold tone. Is she saying something before she told me about Axel?

"Uhm, Where are we going?" I asked.

"I told you that already. You didn't bother to listen."

"No, it's not like that. I listened. We're going to your brother's friend. But, where exactly it is? Where does he live?" She stops and turned around. Finally, she faced me.

"I don't know."

"What? What you mean you don't know? Where are we going then?" unbelievable. She doesn't know where it is but keeps dragging me?!

"You see that?" she's pointing at a flowerpot at the 3rd-floor building of the apartment where we stop.

"Is that his room?" I asked.

"No. I'll make that fall and make sure that it will land perfectly in your head. So you'll stop asking me nonsense questions."

"What's nonsense on asking where we're going?"

"It's nonsense. You said that you are listening to what I have said. But you're not."

"I do."

"You're not. Where is your mind when I told you the address? You keep on talking things in your head?"

"You do? When?"

She gives me a death glare and slowly looks at the pot on the 3rd-floor apartment. I slowly moved away so that if ever she makes that pot fall, which I think is impossible, but to make sure I will be safe, I just discreetly moved away. I guess it will land on the ground now and not in my head.

"S…sorry if I am not listening. Sorry if I am not attentive." I said sincerely.

"Follow Me," she said. She sounded more like a ghost. Scary.

We went to a video game shop. Well, if you want me to describe it. I must say it has a lot of video games hahaha! Kidding aside, just imagine an ordinary videogame shop. And there's a guy that welcomed us. I must say, he's handsome too.

"Good morning Mina! It's been a long time since you visited here." The guy said. Mina? Who the heck is Mina? I look at them confusedly.

"Where's the game?" Sky asks.

"Oh, I thought you miss me. Hahaha! it's all about the game huh?"

"I can pay you."

"You know it is not all about the money, Minari. You already know that."

I don't understand what's happening. Minari? Are they close?

"Stop calling me that. I did not come here alone." Sky replied.

Is she Minari? Huh? I don't get it.

"Hmm. So you're with this err, elementary student? Hahaha! Follow me then."

What the!? I glared at him. Does he want something hard to hit his face? I felt someone holding my wrist and drag me somewhere. I look whoever it was and it was Sky.

"We need to get the game," she uttered.

"Wait, Who is Mina? Minari?" I asked.

"My second old name. but I removed it before I got into high school." She replied. Ahh, now I know.

I observed the guy. He has a slim figure, more like a figure of a girl. He also has violet hair. We went upstairs and entered a room.

"Hep hep.." the guy said. "No girls allowed." he is pointing to the warning sign at the door. "Stay here, Mina. And you" he's pointing at me "follow me."

"Do I look like A guy to you?" I sarcastically asked and rolled my eyes.

"Unfortunately, Yes." He smiles sheepishly. I rolled my eyes.

I Have no choice but to follow him as we enter the door.

I am silently praying that I hope I am still alive after this. I know I can trust Sky but with this guy? Who I even don't know what his name is, I doubt. Sky looks like she has a little bit of kindness in her body, but this guy looks like he loves to play pranks and fool anyone. In short, he looks like someone who you cannot trust. I hope I am still alive after this. Pray for me.
