A soft knocking roused Jarrod out of his deep sleep. He started awake and glanced around his surroundings. His head banged against the steering wheel when he tried to rise up. “Ow!” He managed to sit up and found himself back in the cab of his pickup. He glanced around frantically as realization set in. Snow covered all the windows except the driver’s side, where a gap in the snow let in bright sunshine. The chill in the vehicle penetrated his clothes and he began to shiver. Where was Caleb?
