Ivy: The morning was chilled, and the sky was gray with the threat to open up and pour my sadness and anguish onto the earth. My finger slipped through the hoop in the collar, twirling the cool metal that now sat snuggly on my throat. "Shadow Man?" I whispered. He said this collar would make him a part of me, but I haven't felt different, and I haven't seen him since last night. Feeling like I had been duped, I straightened my spine and slipped my good foot into the combat boots that were sitting beneath the rack that once held my armor.
