Damon: As I stepped back into the cave, I saw her small form leave the entrance in a dead run. I couldn't catch up with her; I couldn't tell if she was running toward or away from something, so I resorted to my shadows to catch her. I flew above her, realizing that she was heading for the pillars. I scoped out the surrounding area, ensuring she was safe. I had to ensure that no creature of the night was sneaking up on her.
