The sun streaming through the window woke me from a dreamless sleep. I had been so tired when I got home that I barely remember bathing.
Today is the day the other Alphas will pour in to meet me, and my mother and grandmother will be bursting through my door any minute to help me prepare for their arrival. But… I just want to lay here and wallow in my feelings. I still can't believe this is happening. This shouldn't be happening.
My mind drifted away, lulling me back into that sleep that was soon interrupted by tulle and hot coffee.
"We have the gown your fathers suggested, but we have a better idea." My mother spoke.
