“The people do scream when the man with the chain saw comes out,” I continued.
“What is he doing that is different from you?” she asked. “What makes people afraid of him?”
I felt my phone buzz again. If my purpose was to be scary then the resolution was clear— I needed to become scarier. I needed to replace the chain saw man.
