Epilogue David wasn’t sleepy on the plane back to New York. He looked out the window and thought about his vacation. There were lots of things he was going to miss. Fried shrimp. Hush puppies. Cole slaw. Most of all, he would miss Marisol and her flan, but he’d be back, eventually, and she’d be fine in her new place with Ferdinand. After all, it had a greenhouse. “How’s your mimosa?” David asked, looking at the passenger next to him. “Delicious,” Jared said. “Absolutely delicious.” THE END
