The next morning Wolf found out his punishment. When he arrived at the Raven's tent with breakfast, the Raven ordered him to report to the stable master. The man set him to work, mucking out the stalls; not just a few of them, but all of them. It would have been worse, but Red had already started doing the same thing. Her offense was to know better than to leave camp without permission or tell anyone where they were going, and did it anyway. They worked at it all day. Red reminded Wolf that you take the bad as well as the good with no complaints. They labored at the backbreaking work, were restricted from riding and had to watch as all their friends and other students get to ride.
