That evening Grace wasn't surprised when all the girls were chased forward to the front passenger car with the Wolverine standing watch over them. The knight later would be relieved by Lady Jane.
The rest of the long trip remained uneventful except for when they stopped and the Raven and Red got off with their horses and headed for town to the forest service office. Wolf was disappointed when he wasn't allowed to go with them. They eventually arrived at the small village through which they had left the mountains nine months earlier. There the long process of unloading the train began.
The wagons were loaded and sent on ahead while all the other supplies were stored in a nearby barn rented for the purpose. The wagons would eventually return to fetch more supplies.
