In the morning there was a general exodus of the remaining guests who had spent the night at the palace, but before they left several had to be escorted for further tours of palace and stables. Some just wanted to talk to teachers and knights. Two couples wanted a private conversation with the Lion and Wolf had to wait patiently outside his office with Shadow who stuck close to him for the day.
Once the last guest had left, Wolf sought out Wart who had gone to the stables mucking stalls. "Wayne can't leave us alone?"
Wart stopped shoveling to look at Wolf, "Whatever made you think he'd leave us alone. He enjoys torturing us."
Wolf looked glum, "Why can't anything go right for me?"
Wart lightly whacked Wolf on the shoulder, "You idiot."
Wolf jumped back, "Ow. What was that for?"
