Wolf awoke to a quiet day. He and the other pages were up with the morning horn blast. He washed himself with cold water and dressed in his uniform. Then he went outside and started his self defense exercises with several other pages. He now exercised on the third level of difficulty. When exercises were over he took his mess kit to get breakfast and then ran to the Raven's tent where he started a small fire to boil a pot of water for coffee and tea. The Raven came out of his tent just as the coffee finished brewing. He poured a cup and complemented Wolf on how good and hot the coffee was. The Raven has never had a cup of coffee he didn't like. After breakfast had finished and the table cleared, the Raven put out a map of the valley to the west. Considering Wolf's map making experience,
